I love how with each collection event they come up with these insane models- and half of em were coloured by someone who literally can't see colour. The fact the valk skin is a TOTALLY diff yellow colour than her heirloom and default so it's super jarring to look at holding the Blade with this skin imo.. PS: man I love Titanfall REFERENCES so much I just- man I just don't even want Titanfall any longer- this is totally enough. yep, the urge to wallrun and doublejump is well fed and a'slumber once more thanks to yet another subtle nod.

i never use skins on class based videogames unless the colors are super similar to the abilities like i hate using revenant with any skin because i always feel like it's weird for the silence to be red and the skin color to be super different

It's literally not even remotely close to being a shade of yellow. Just accept that you're color-blind. Your personal problem/disability isn't the fault of someone working at Respawn. The color difference isn't even bad on the eyes, you're just sensitive to colors for no reason. Again just a personal problem you should deal with.

The things with Prestige Skins is like: For me, one of the coolest things special skins can have, is lore and a special Intro Animation that fits that. The heirlooms got the lore too, so why are the prestige skins just some random skins? They'd make a fortune if the Valk Prestige Skins was the one with her dads helmet, if the Wraith Prestige Skin was Voidwalker... You get what I mean? It just feels like buying a mediocre skin for 150 bucks, when I could have a cooler one for significantly less

If respawn REALLY wanted to make Prestige skins even better. They need to make it so if you have that legend's heirloom, the skin changes the heirloom to match the skin. And if you wanted to, you could just toggle it back to the normal heirloom. You get a bomb skin AND basically a new heirloom

Something i miss was when this events also included some decent patches for the game like buffs and nerfs, now it feels so unfun to suffer the same meta the whole season

This, this right here, they take way too long to change the meta in this game, even in the off season of the algs ( the main reason why they don’t do much to balance during a season). A while back they said that they were getting close to finding a good balance for the legends. But now I just see it as an excuse to not work as hard on changing the game and it’s meta. Horizon is busted, seer wins fights with a button and the nemesis has been a literal nemesis for 2 seasons now…

The constant buy cosmetics events have been very frustrating indeed, but I am a little bit relieved this time that we can get some free stuff by just playing - the nodes don't unlock just cosmetics, they also unlock lore it seems though I haven't gotten one "chapter" unlocked yet, and we also got the Loba level! Though admitedly I have evaded most leaks so I don't know if that was spoiled as well. I'm definitely hoping it means some changes from all the here's the new spend cash event in any case.

I feel the value of prestige skin would bit higher if the had like their own intro for selecting character. But yea, it sucks that apex legends has only collection events and their whole point is spend money. No new game mods or adding cool stuff. I think it's cool that to this event they added this node tracker, but it feels to quickly. Because you can do it in minute after landing. it could be better, if they added mini challanges like small shooting test or maybe something like hacking sequence that would be press the right buttom.

So considering that an Apex skin can cost from $10.000 up to $100.000 to make, it´s really not that bad of a deal. Because you not only get an heirloom, but also 24 other items and skins. Is it good that it´s so expensive? No...but is it necessary for Respawn, oh yes.

Personally i really like mythic skins, they give 3 really cool skins while having executions that highlight elements of the skin (which is I consider the caustic and bloodhound skins to be better). That's my personal opinion though and I'm still not gonna buy them cause I don't have heirloom money and I haven't had an heirloom once in my life.
