Trolls Movie Description:
After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Their mission is full of adventure and mishaps, as this mismatched duo try to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done.
Trolls is a 2016 American animated jukebox musical comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox, based on the Good Luck Trolls dolls created by Thomas Dam. The film was directed by Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Walt Dohrn (in his feature directorial debut), from a screenplay by the writing team of Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, based on a story by Erica Rivinoja. It stars the voices of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Christine Baranski, Russell Brand, John Cleese, and Gwen Stefani. The film follows two trolls named Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) who go on a quest to save their village from destruction by the Bergens, giant creatures who eat Trolls to be happy.
Trolls premiered at the BFI London Film Festival on October 8, 2016, and was theatrically released in the United States on November 4, by 20th Century Fox. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $347 million worldwide against its $125 million budget. It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for "Can't Stop the Feeling!".
A sequel, Trolls World Tour, was released on April 10, 2020, while a third film, Trolls Band Together, was released on November 17, 2023.

Mello, if you decide to watch the other two, I HIGHLY reccommend them! Also, don't worry, Poppy and Branch's relationship is teased, but they don't become an item till late in the 2nd movie. It's a bit of a slow burn, compared to other movie relationships.

So happy you mentioned the art design in this movie! One of my favourite things is how they try to translate environments into an arts&crafts vibe. Water being tinsel, sand being sequins, the clouds actually being made out of cotton puffs. The trailers don't do the movie justice -- they feel so money-grabbing and immature, and then the movie itself is so warm and silly and full of creativity!! The series is awesome, I hope you continue to binge all of them and have just as much of a good time as you did with this one B)

If so, how many trolls were killed before they escaped? Why did they wait till it was poppies turn to die before escaping?

The trolls that survived where the ones escaping but blocked off from the regular escape route during the great troll escape. Which was when princess poppy was supposed to be eaten. But again they have been gathering around the troll tree for Year. So Cleary any where from one, to one per burgon was killed Every year for many years before they escaped the burgons. So why wait so long? Why only when it was poppies turn to die did they escape?

But that’s not the case. 2:07 Its king Harold from Shrek. 6:22 This is the only speaking role From the trolls films, she never shows up in the sequels. 6:37 Ron Funches. 7:48 Smidge is a grown troll, she’s just short and tiny. She and Cloud Guy are voiced By the director. 7:38 Anna can sing, it’s proven in The pitch perfect movie series, The trolls franchise, and The Disney version of Into the woods.
