My heart!!! When Tanner got home and he hugged Ozzy and Stella wanted him too so he put Ozzy down for a sec and picked up Stella. The way Ozzy just watched and was waiting so sweetly and he held them both. You are both just great parents. The way your girls look at their dad and the love both girls have for both of you is beautiful. Time goes by so fast so just really be sure to take it all in. At the end of week-long business trips, my kiddo and I nearly knocked each other down to get to Daddy! Staying at home is such a blessing for mommas who can and want to do it, and I never missed working outside the home after becoming a mom. Amen to the shout out to solo parents! It's really soothing watching your ordinary family ways together. I'm 67, and my daughter in law decided a while back that she didn't want me to be a part of their lives, and now she's estranged my granddaughters from me. My son and I are good terms - thank God she hasn't been able to turn him against me. I don't feel like I don't have a family, though, so I pretended for 20 minutes that you were my family. Silly, I know, but sometimes fantasizing is good. I have a friend here in Asheville who is 40, and she has two kids - I get to pretend that they're my niece and nephew occasionally! 😊♥️

I'm so sorry about your daughter-in-law! Life is so short for family to be estranged like that. My husband passed away a few years ago and one of my DIL's also keeps my granddaughter away and only invites me over when it's gift time (birthdays, Christmas, etc). I have a great relationship with our son and with my other kids and granddaughters. It breaks my heart but there's nothing I can do. I make sure to send my granddaughter gifts on those special occasions and want her to know that I love her very much. It's really all that you can do, but I understand how you feel. I'll keep you in my prayers!

My heart breaks for you. 11 yrs ago while on a family vacay, my daughter's bf assalted my hubby (not her dad) & broke his ribs. We pressed charges & she threatened to deny us seeing our grandaughters. We didn't drop the charges, she's no longer w/ him, & we're still estranged (her choice, not mine). BUT...God still answers prayer! I'm sad because we've missed seeing them grow up, & of course miss my daughter & new grandson i've never met. Praying for your situations, also! 🙏

The way your adorable little kids reacted to seeing their dad brought me tears. This is how my kids greet their dad every night that they actually get to see him after work. He works really long days, usually leaving home between 4:30am-6am and getting home between 6:30pm-10pm. The days that he gets home before 8pm is very rare though and my kids are asleep by 8pm. I did the same thing on my suv. Only not only was it a tall pole but it was right outside my classroom where I was bringing in school supplies. I ripped off a portion of the step, too. My husband was quiet but upset. More so because I knew the pole was there and forgot about it. I think I was just tired. Be easy on yourself. You had a wonderful time with your adorable children and you got to see again how great the partnership you share with your husband is. I've been married for 33 and a half years. And those reminders are important. Told my daughter yesterday that some of the worst times bring wonderful memories.

Don't be too hard on yourself Lo. I did the same thing to our brand new car a few years ago. I didn't see the pole because I was driving a big SUV and the pole was in my blind spot at the front of my passenger side door. I hit it so hard (it was literally less than 2 feet from my door) that my front door wouldn't open and I did $5k worth of damage. I still have no idea how it happened. My husband was working away and I had to make that same dreaded phone call. His reaction was the same as Tanner's...just glad we were ok! It can be fixed. That's why we have insurance on our vehicles. ❤️

First time commenter, Long time viewer; I see a little of myself long ago in them, I think. I love reading the stories that are shared in the comments almost as much as watching them. They use humor in a loving way & they are so genuine. It makes me feel safe to share. Back twenty years ago, I was young & I tried to accomplish too much too soon to please others. Baby #4 was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back, as they say. 👶🏼He was the cutest, fattest, most darling "straw" you ever did see. 👩🍼All I wanted to do was spend the day holding him, but errands needed running, so I loaded all four into my minivan. 🚙As I backed out of the garage, I ran into Dad's car, successfully damaging both family vehicles with one mistake. 🤯I got back in the minivan after checking damage and was crying, and the older three girls said, "Don't worry Mommy. We won't tell Daddy." 🤥My sweet girls but, I knew I had another problem. So? I started crying. Oh, but if I only knew then what I know now. 😀 I'd remind my past self, you can only do as well as you can do with what knowledge you have available to you at the time. When you know better, you do better. (Maya Angelo) So, be kind to yourself. Be gentle. I love you fellow face bookians. I know I ran long so, Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

It’s okay Lo, we are all human & mistakes happen. I have had one accident & it was similar. I was tired and reversed into a low pole, even with my camera and beeping alarm telling me I was close to an object 🤦🏼♀️ Kids in the back, new car. I felt so awful & silly. At the end of the day it’s just a material possession 🤷♀️ The fact no one was hurt is what matters the most ❤ xx
