The niche thing about the lab assistant that nobody seems to be talking about is the fact that if your army is composed of barely 5 troops and 4 spells per townhall, there is basically not much merit to be maxing him out UNLESS you are actively trying to max out your lab and your overall account to the max level. In other words, getting him past the first free level isn't worth it for casual players whose end goal is not to max out actively and is probably better to get some of the missed equipment instead.

Apprentice builder is way better. It can save you almost 3 days on upgrading your hero. Better save your gems on 2025 Hammer Jam to buy builder potion, pet potion, lab potion, and goblins to maximize Hammer Jam.

@@itskiki4979 buddy there's a difference between using different armies to you know explore and enjoy different attacks....and having at least one army practiced and ready in hand for wars and stuff. So one can just use 1 army at war for a month or 2 meanwhile upgrading a 2nd army comp. Then like that the 3rd and so on. If someone can use 1 or 2 attacks very nicely, they dont need HURRY (henche not needed to spend that 12.5k gems) for many troops...and in time can just max most of the important troops if not all by the time next town hall comes.

Most good attacks at th16 uses a boat load of different troops. It also allows you to use different type of attacks and not just be limited to 1 army. I guess if you only use electro spam then its probably not worth investing

Super witches is like 6 troop types and you won’t fail if your funnel baby dragon is a level or two too low. Warden fireball loon uses balloons and like 4 other troops.

On the days saved 5:44, you should take into account the 5 builders, by example book of hero doesn’t save you 8 days per 500 gems but merely 1.6 total builder time. Same with book of building and fighting, building saves you 8.65/5 = 1.73 days skipped, where as you can only do 1 lab upgrade at a time so your actually saving 8.65 days

The cooldown is 23 hours (which is why there's the fractional benefit), but many people likely just use it once a day. For myself, I can use it right when I wake up but unless I'm either waking up gradually earlier until I can stay up late enough to use it or waking up in the middle of the night, there's no reasonable way to get the maximum benefit out of it. Being able to queue the upgrades allows it to be used immediately when available.

It would be much better to compare it with book of spells, book of fighting and research potion as lab assistant solely focused on troops and machines upgrade time rather than buildings. Lab assistant is insane value. It is basically halving the upgrade time. But then again, maxing out the troops is not necessary. Some troops are not really that important to upgrade if they are not used in your attacks. Upgrading and maxing all the troop is something that you just happen to do. That's it. Like I usually finish upgrading my stuff like gowitch, super wall breaker, sneakies, haste, jump, lightning etc then I am done. Done for war and done for farming. The rest are just upgrades that I just do because the lab is available. Like archers and barbs for what? Super archer blimps and for super barbs for warden walks? Dragons, electro drags and dragon rider. Like what dragon rider even do? How are they even different from dragons? I don't upgrade those. I mean I upgrade those just to not let the research lab stay idle. That's it.

My prefference is to do the apprentice builder first because life is way better when you have all heroes in max level. The lab is pretty useless after your main army upgrades are done, then the rest of the 90% is just incase you wanna play different things.

Thank you for the analytical videos as always. But I think when calculating the required days to catch up, you shouldn't take into account the free one hour upgrade. It should be done as follows: 500 gems saves you 12.5 days (300 hours) with goblin researcher or gives you an extra ~1hr per day with apprentice researcher. So to get back your 500 gems value, you would need 300 days. If you send 750 gems, you need 450 days, and if you spend 1000 gems, you need 600 days. There is no need to look at in a cumulative way since all the upgrades do the same thing (add 1 hour)

Unlike the builder apprentice, the lab assistant isn't necessary. The builder assistant matters cos you, the player, will need to upgrade the entire village. There isn't such a desire with the lab. At max, you'll most likely level up 15 troops and spells per townhall level. You won't do more than that. If the builder assist. was a luxury, the lab assist is even more so 🤷🏽‍♂️

Let I am at th12 cost-3000gems Potion- 120 gems for reducing 24 hr. So I can get (3000/120)= 25 potion.which is (25*24)= 600hr. Lab a. can do 6hr per day so in 100 days I can complete 600 hr and for future upgrade it can be used . So yes it is helpful in this term. I didn't consider other factors.

My war strategie is electro dragon, dragon, three spells they are maxed so even after the update it won’t take long to max lab assitent is a waste of gem I prefer the other scam and ironically clock tower from builder base is better than apprentace builder but it is only better than lab dude if you are upgrading two troops at a time i wish we can bring the clock tower to the main village instead of these and why can we upgrade only one troop at a time ?
