I’d be willing to suggest that many, many DIYers have them. And a lot more! As an example, a golfer-even an inept one-with enough dough, can and will fork over easily $10,000 a year, so it’s not a stretch to think a woodworking hobbyist won’t do the same on machines costing a lot less. Boys and their toys!

@3:30 your bench vice is installed upside down. Should be under the table, not on top. And DITTO !travelwell8098 comment - most of us don't have CNC. @7:30 that square block when leaned against the fence is no longer true. It's toggled over to the right (from the camera point of view). Will make poor miters. You used it as a stop block but that shows the fence is not 90˚ to the base. All your joints will be skiddywompus.

@@diycraftsman-55 I have two of them. One has a tang that can be raised above the surface of the workbench. That tang can trap a workpiece between the tang and bench dogs. The top of the vice is level with the top of the bench. BOTH of my bench vices are level with the top of the bench. IF the vice were installed the way you show then you have the guts on top of the bench and that can damage or contaminate your workpieces. You have it upside down! If your instructions say otherwise you should get your money back. However, that Chinese made vice and the instructions that came with it were made by someone who had no idea of how it works. Yours is UPSIDE DOWN! If I could post a picture here I would. Oh, I'm a professional cabinet maker. No BS. Been doing this since the 1980's.
