I've been a big fan of Evanescence for a long time, but what Dan has done with this song is simply breathtaking!!!! So powerfully sung, then the whisper and then Dan comes in with that “growl”, just fantastic. He has the gift of interpreting each song uniquely and making it a masterpiece. Dan is just brilliant, his voice, his versatility and his amazing interpretation of a song! I've not seen the likes of it. Ofcourse there are others with good voices but I just love his voice and I've not heard anyone as versatile. So glad you've discovered Dan. Would love to hear your reaction to his cover of Celine Dion's, "Mr heart Wll Go On" It's a refreshing "take" on her classic. "Thankyou😃

Dan Vasc brings this song to a other level. He has seriously trained many different singing styles and that makrs him able to pick almost any song and do the sound the song needs! It is so much fun to see you react to Dan. He is very special to me and many other people. I especially like this one because it shows many of the tools he has in his vocal tool box. Another things thst impresses me is that in this song the final word in a phrase is preceded by a significant pause. He hits that note with such power and confidence.

I heard Dan's cover of this song before the original. Thought I'd chk out the original to be fair. Nooe, Dan's version is my favorite again. Loved your reaction. 😊 After you hear all of his Christmas songs, and you definitely need to hear his Handel's Messiah Hallelujah Chorus (One Man Choir), you should chk out what Dan did with Lady Gaga's "Pokerface". It's another great upgrade. Also, add in for good measure Dan's duet with Violet Orlandi performing Seal's "Kiss From a Rose" metal version. You will love those.

In my mind, Dan's version has nothing to do with the original story. Is sounds like a young adventurer who stumbled into a tomb on an old graveyard and there is a deamoness locked into a chamber. This deamon needs him to breake the seal and take her in to give here a new life on this plane of existance... I love it!

In the actual original, the rap didn't exist. Amy Lee submitted to what the producers wanted, in order to get the song published. Later, she did another, simpler version of it. Personally, I'm glad that Dan picked up the "rap," and turned it into "the soul" of the NEED in the song. You can find Amy's story about why she wrote the song in the first place, online. Dan definitely picked up on THAT, to produce his cover. He puts in the desperation that was in Amy's own heart, at the time she wrote the lyrics. Thanks for your reaction. 😀

Someone in the comments mentioned Dan doing Handel’s Hallelujah from the Messiah and sings all parts. But what they didn’t say is on screen you have 24 Dans. 6 individual sopranos (all different and not the same one put up 6 times); 6 alto; 6 tenor; and 6 bari. It took him over 270 takes and calls it his insanity piece. Hail VascNation ❤

If anyone can do a fantastic job of reproducing originally female songs, it's Dan Vasc. I can recommend Pokerface by Lady Gaga or Zombie by the Cranberries or, or, or 😉.... So all the female songs on his channel.

Don't worry, if we didn't want you to talk, we'd listen to the original. Another song where Dan brings out the harsh vocals to play is Burn Butcher, Burn. A couple of other singers that masterfully blend clean and harsh vocals are Adrienne Cowan of Seven Spires, see Almostown and Gods of Debauchery and Jari Mäenpaa of Wintersun, start with Sons of Winter and Stars and Time. As for hitting really difficult notes on songs sung originally by women, there is Dan covering Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush, using the Angra orchestration. We will talk about Black Wind, Fire and Steel later 😁😁😁

I am not knowledgeable about how to watch a live stream. I would very much like to watch the live stream on Dec 12 , but don't know if it will be here or using something else like Discord. If it is on Discord, i do not know which of the many choices to purchase. I would like to buy what I need for one month until I know what it is like.
