I used to try to parent my children but then I realized if I live my best life they will follow. I started working out at home in my front room so my kids se me try, struggle then succeed. I started taking time to meditate and refocus myself. I would do this in the other front room so they could see me. My kids started pushing themselves harder and enjoying trying more. My kids are 14, 11 and 8. My oldest son just graduated middle school with a 3.5 grade point average. Played sports and is really focused on his future now. My 2 younger children are following in his footsteps. It’s been amazing watching my own personal efforts affect them positively.

Neither has to give. "Seek first the kingdom and all will be added" You gotta have a love for God You cannot love money, Instead you should aspire to become the best possible version of yourself. What does that look like? Ex: Well the best me is disciplined, he does what he is supposed to do regardless of how he feels. He trains even when he doesn't feel like training He works when he doesn't feel like working He builds up his skills and talents even when he doesn't feel like it He protects when he doesn't feel like protecting He must be a GOOD man, and when you're actually a good man and a true high value man you humble yourself and know that God is the Almighty, and you strive to live right by him. @Booz2020

What you are doing is precious. When I was failing in elementary and Jr High School, the only help I got was threats from my dad. I was constantly grounded for weeks at a time and all summer. He never offered to help. Just threats for failing. This is not healthy for a child. So in high school I changed my mind about school and learning. I was going to enjoy myself. Not only did I improve but I understood things much better. I enjoyed learning. Even today. Teachers and adults looked at me with approval and astonishment. What I didn’t receive from my dad, approval, I received from my peers. Now I didn’t just blindly do this. I remembered all the people who were kind and wise towards me as I grew up. I noticed how people reacted to events in their lives. It’s like watching an older brother make mistakes and learning not to make the same mistakes. My father passed away many years ago. And I still loved him to the end. I just knew that he didn’t grow up properly either. I told myself it will stop here. I raised my child by giving time to her. Listening and not go flying off the handle. And she was smart and keen to begin with. Explaining things to them and giving them hope goes a long way. My mother had a lot to do with it. To complicated to explain. But I love them both still.

As an older “lady”, I have to say that the foul language used today in front of our children is very unwholesome! Even young girls today use horrendous, vulgar language, and no one seems to think anything of it. And the reason is adults, do not set good examples anymore, and teach respect for others. Men would never have said such ugly words in front of women, especially, just several years ago! People that claim to be Christians, and many are.. need to read the Bible and see where God tells us to keep our words wholesome, and to think on things that are lovely and kind! That makes us raise wholesome kids all around, and they become pleasing to God and good examples to other children and adults❤. Think on these things, please. I’d love listening to the podcasts, but it’s so difficult to hear the filthy language, so finally have to turn it off. Would you speak that way in front of your grandmother?

LOVED the clip of Patrick talking to his kids. That's what I love the most about being a dad- talking to my boys like they are men- not boys. Asking questions that make them think deeply is so important. Never talk down to them- talk to them AS IF they are already the men you want them to become.

An absolutely great video! Thank you first for being such a concerned and active father. Then, thanks for the motivation speech. I think right now, many young kids and just regular people don't have a direction in life. If you're breathing, there's hope! I forwarded this video.

I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice I've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.

If you place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are 💯 % going to heaven and God is already pleased with you because of Jesus! You are right with God He will say welcome my beloved son, my child. He loves you and you are accepted in Jesus so you are and will be accepted by God Ephesians 1:6 -7 our performance does not determine Gods acceptance of us now and when we go to heaven. Jesus finished the work needed for us.

Damn. I’m 37 years old today. Sleeping on my uncles couch. I work just enough to get by. Co parenting my 10yr old son but he doesn’t live with me cuz I can’t afford a place in San Diego. I coach his baseball team and try to be as involved as possible but it’s still not up to my expectations. Been feeling down all day today because I can’t believe at 37 this is where I’m at in life. At 18 I had so much ambition and now weeks fly by with little to no progress…But I have no one to blame but myself. Drowned myself in marijuana use for well over a decade, although I’m almost a year clean now. This video hit deep. I’ve definitely been drifting…still consider myself lucky though. I’ve still managed to surround myself with a great group of friends but I’m the weak link. Sometimes I wonder why they even want to be around me but ppl often tell me I have a great heart and genuine energy. I get a ton of positive feedback from parents of kids I coach but I still feel so inadequate. It’s tough to keep up with established, career oriented men I’m often interacting with in the coaching world. Gives me great anxiety. I just try and be present for my son in hopes he can at least look back and feel that his dad was there but I want so much more…

I drifted in life from 18-27 & it was probably the worst time in my life. At 25 I got crushed on the job and broke both of my legs and then at 27 I got sepsis and almost died & after that at 28 I started getting my shit together and I became a father at 29 & that gave me a sense of purpose. I got into the real estate business and now I own a few multifamily properties and I'm doing things on purpose and what a difference five years makes when you're living life on purpose. God bless you PBD & happy Father's Day!

Thank you, Patrick. I lost my father when I was 11 months old and then my stepdad at 8 years old. It took me a while to understand what it means to be a good man in today's world, around the age of 18 I realized just because I didn't have a strong male role model in my life it doesn't mean I can't learn from those around me. From books, podcasts, and people like you understanding becomes a lot clearer.
