That's why most 80's singers (like Mohammed Aziz) were sidelined in 90's and most 90's singers were sidelined in 2000's. 2000's was a time of experimentation in music in which new singing style was developed . Rock ,pop, EDM, upbeat party songs, high pitched sad and romantic songs (sufi style) were introduced in 2000's. That's why Kumar Sanu was sidelined because he can only sing 90's melody.

I think Udit Narayan was best singer than Kumar sanu in every aspect like success, longer career, award, total listners, total songs, total language, voice quality, etc. But kumar Sanu is a good speaker in an interview while udit narayan speak very slow & steady in his interview. Too much time taking. so that , people get bored with Udit ji.
