Make the Connection

11 жыл бұрын

Roger's tour of duty was physically and emotionally challenging, and he attempted suicide while deployed. He came home and was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and depression. Entering an OEF/OIF program connected him to professional treatment and other Veterans. The support has given him a new sense of hope.

We all need to learn how to handle the consequences of the all-volunteer army even if we disagreed with the OEF/OIF campaigns-- or never heard of them. We civilians can no longer act as if war is just another "off-shore industry" that other people work in. Roger, we hope you can look ahead beyond "one day a a time" at this point. Good luck to you and your family.
