I definitely agree with you when it comes to the scaling. Clean cool piece either way

I really liked the xl more than the Roosevelt as well. It's a solid knife! I did a comparison video with the two. I didn't think about the opening hole being xl sized as well though, great video!

Direct price comparisons between US and Chinese goods, particularly for US-made custom knives, are inappropriate. However, a $1000 price point for the Roosevelt model is excessive, reminiscent of the Benchmade Narrow's high cost relative to its features.

I would even say a lot overpriced

Hard to beat the Roosevelt and Roosevelt XL. Price aside, they are some of the most perfectly executed and designed knives I’ve owned and I’ve owned so many knives. Price is subjective but paying retail or slightly under is fine with me. It’s horrendously expensive for a small operation to produce these caliber knives in the US.

Goldilocks would be the XL at about 85% or so. Agree that shrinking the hole and finger groove would make sense. Acoustics are maybe the best of any folder I’ve owned…no accounting for taste! And they are definitely pricey…win a lotto at your own risk.

I have the same reaction: it's usually a mistake to do a 1:1 scaling when changing the size of a knife. I think this would have been better if Oz had stretched it about half as much in height.

Love the standard size at $700 bucks, xl at 1k I’m good

Never been a fan of either rosies. I found no point considering the fact that a shaman probably outperforms both. Very cool knife though.
