Where abouts are the jumps at the beginning at what part of Sherwood
@ChrisGoddardMTB2 ай бұрын
@Maxpower-ym8ju they are near the "downhill" section mate, kinda hard to explain but they are on the sherwood map 👌

hey chris im just getting into riding trails im in donny not many round here my question is can you just turn up to sherwood pines or do you need to use there camp to use the trail?
@ChrisGoddardMTBАй бұрын
@gazj hi mate, anyone can use sherwood pines, it's not part of the sherwood centre parks if that's what you are meaning. If you Google sherwood pines visitor centre I think it takes you to the car park(£11 for the day, little steep!) But is a good place to start out 👊

@@ChrisGoddardMTB thanks i deffo will be looking into it my bike isnt set up for hardcore trails i just want somehting more challenging currently looking on upgrading my rear wheel so i cant fit a wider tyre on the rear but 25mm rims for a 2.4 ish trail tyre is pricey n i have nop idea of the best place to find them as i dont want to spend 250 quid on a rim lol
@gazjАй бұрын
my current wheels are 20mm i think its a bit close to bit fitting a 2.4 on it i may just order the tyre n try god loves a tryer i love a tyre lol
@ChrisGoddardMTBАй бұрын
@gazj I've ran a 2.4 on a 25mm rim but I don't know about a 20mm lol. I suppose it's a matter of trying and finding out with that one mate. Pines is good for progress because most of the trails are "safe" for the general public
@gazjАй бұрын
@@ChrisGoddardMTB yup i may just go with the 2.25 nobby nics from schwarlbe they look like the side tread would be solid choice i have had 2.3's on before no issues so i know they will be right

Try not to rely on speed getting you over. Practice the correct jumping technique as much as you can then you will be clearing these jumps without even thinking about it. The gap jumps like these don’t generally need too much speed or you can easily over shoot them.

Cheers mate, it was my first time doing the dirt jump style jumps so plenty more practice to be had 👊
