Yes , this has been used in my family very long time. Very popular in Kerala. After bath, even bathroom smells the same. When after bath we pass by some one , even they can pick up this scent. Very beautiful and nostalgic. Thanks for showing this up.

This is not the original one because this one is made by some other company under the licence of Wipro Chandrika. The original one which is made by Wipro itself is available on Flipkart. Packaging is also different between the two.

Got this from Amazon after your review. It's amazing. That's a big difference between the ones manufactured in Karnataka and Kerala. You may want to try Kerala Sandal Soap also.

It's crazy that you are in India and you needed Amazon to introduce you to chandraka. I guess it's not sold everywhere then. I've used it for years. I love it. But it is a little drying. It's not sold in any Indian store that I've seen where I live in the US. Usually those stores have Mysore sandal soap, Pears, Motil, and Godrej. In order to find Chandrika or even Cinthol I had to go to Amazon. This was years ago now.

Very high percentage of Caustic Soda in Chandrika so keep it away from Hair & face. Use below neck only. For face use Baby soap like Chico. For summer Anuved Vetiver is mind boggling experience. Mysore Sandal is right choice for night bath.

Ah, soap= The Final Frontier. The only fragranced item I haven't studied and collected are soaps. I just never bothered buying them, but I know in time I'll start a collection of them too 😂. I currently use Mysore Sandalwood soap, an Indian import to the UK. I also bought Irish Spring soap online because in a Fragrance Guy video Dalya and Sebastian were reviewing Mousse Illuminee and Dalya said it reminded her of the smell of Irish Spring soap in her home growing up in the 1980s. Sadly, in 2022 it smells of almost nothing. I can imagine it was MUCH stronger in the 1980s. I was disappointed. Thank you for this video and being the flint that will surely ignite my next wonderful, quirky little hobby this coming autumn and winter. I'm excited to see what's out there in the land of high end, handmade niche soaps! PS= I sound like a geriatric nerd, oh no! 😅

In the early nineties ( I was in my thirties) my favourite perfumes used to be Statement by Etienne aigner and Farenheit. Farenheit is anyways discontinued I think and statement is not available in mumbai . If you know any availability of statement please let me know
