These days, it's pretty rare for people to actually enjoy music in clubs. I'm a DJ myself, people only enjoy your sets if they specifically paid to hear it
@erads2185 Жыл бұрын
I mostly like Dnb so whenever I go on the Dnb floor, the DJ always plays some terrible Dnb remix of a song nobody cares about, and their highlighted song of their set is always Sub Focus - Desire, if club DJ's actually played some good stuff then I bet the crowd would love it
@EngineAnalytical Жыл бұрын
@@erads2185 I feel you! But taste is subjective - you shouldn't shit on sub focus. Sadly even DnB is nowadys about names, but so many talented dj/producer out there.
@erads2185 Жыл бұрын
@@EngineAnalytical No I love Sub Focus, I'll vibe to his songs any day of the week, it's just that Desire is a very commercial DnB song, it's played everywhere, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's so overplayed that crowds don't go crazy for it anymore, well I can't speak for every crowd but I hope you get the idea, point is, if DJ's started playing different stuff then crowds would love it, I think a lot of club DJ's are only in it for the pay check these days so they go with any random commercial stuff and call it a day
@heartdex11 ай бұрын
@@erads2185 this is what annoys me.most of the people dont care about the music that much, but they keep trying to cater to them directly with popular stuff or awful remixes of trending songs or nostalgia, which means it ends up being some weird limbo where the people who come for music find it boring because its stuff they hear all the time and the people who dont only half enjoy it because they dont really care whats actually playing.

as a sound tech for a club in Seattle, i can tell you now that your performance was more unique and full of character than 99% of acts that pass through a typical electronic music joint. the fact that you managed to include a live performance component with little to no training beyond the scope of this video is absolutely spectacular and i commend you for it! it's an absolute shame that most club-goers don't have the care to pay mind when a great act comes on stage... gimmick or otherwise. huge shoutout to your promoter hookup for the recognition and flexibility to let weirdness into the scene

Yah, pretty much anything billed as "EDM" is guaranteed to be characterless, soulless trash. EDM is supposed to be an umbrella term for thousands of different types of music, not a genra in of itself.... Which tries to incorporate things from All of the types under it and again is trash. Last time I went to Burning Man, 90‰+ of the music was EDM... I wanted to scream. Happily, I had hurt a rib and couldn't really dance anyway so I wasn't subjected to the trash.

I seem to recall this happening back in the late 80s/early 90s when someone put out an album just called "Technoclassics" Available on LP & cassette tape but a couple of quick searches show the internet is largely unaware of it's existence. Aside from that, good effort and a genuine laugh, cheers for that now I'm off to work.

Not going to lie, DJ Beathoven was actually pretty good music and something I definitely would enjoy. I am also not a "club" person, so make of that what you will

Isn't that just the way it goes? Sometimes in our heads things will work out different than expected. The regular population does not realize the time put into events etc. I don't think most people know the time that is put into each KZbin video either or TV shows for that matter. Literally 2 days of filming and 2 weeks of editing can end in less than 30 minutes of public ready content not counting commercial time. Oh my my my! Great video!

As a person who genuinely loves music, these were surprisingly good.

I am certain berthoven and mozart music can sound fantastic in a club with the right producer. I’ve been excited trying to figure it out myself.

Honestly, I've headbanged to weirder shit at metal festivals. There's one that's usually opened by the local brass band and sometimes people form a wall of death there. So, there's hope for DJ Beathoven!
