The one good thing about TTG is that it realizes that it isn't as good as the original show its based on, and makes jokes according to that fact. In other words because they break the 4th wall constantly it's like a perfect match for the ironic and post ironic memes we have today

I think the exact opposite. The show is better than the original in some ways (humor, for example. I can't think of a single moment of the original show that I actually laughed at) so when it craps on itself that's not "fun" or "funny". I mean, who would want to watch those episodes anyway? People who like the original show won't, because they won't watch ttg to begin with. People who like TTG won't, because they don't think the original is better. I mean, it's honestly just uncomfortable to watch a show crap on itself so much. I miss when Teen Titans Go was just a goofy spin-off that didn't try to be super meta.

A lot better than the show. The reason why the show has poor writing is because the entire staff is constantly time crunched to pump out as many episodes as possible. The quickest way to do that is to basically throw any ideas they have at the board and just go with what they have sort of in a similar way to how South Park episodes are made. However with the movie they obviously had a much bigger budget as well as a bigger window of time to come up with a script. I don't really like the show but I understand that at the end of the day it's just a group of people trying to make some money to support their lives and families.
