I really love this doll- I was pleasantly surprised considering my dislike for Nendoroids... Definitely a bit overpriced but not terrible. The quality is truly remarkable.

HUGE component of nendolls is actually the fan community- I actually don't own a single official nendoll, people often buy blank nendoll bodies and parts from sellers and customize them to their preferred characters (be it ocs or characters from shows etc), which is shockingly much more affordable than an actual goodsmile nendoll! There are tons of clothes available in this scale from Ali storefronts, Etsy storefronts, etc of similar quality to Goodsmile's official clothes. :)

I will say the ones I have all have short hair so posing is that much easier. the quality of the clothes is phenomenal though, and these dolls got me into customizing as you can buy blank faces and bodies

For a long time I really wanted to buy at least one nendoroid doll, but the pricing is just too much for me. I do have few basic nendoroid figures and even they are quite pricy. That's why I really appreciate the chinese blind box art dolls. Just like you pointed out at 16:34 - the nendoroid doll clothes themselves cost basicaly the same price as the whole chinese art doll. Kinda crazy when you think about it....

Hi brooke! Im so so happy you finally got around a nendoroid doll! Werr the opposite, i started out as a nendoroid collector, got into nendoroid dolls and then went to playline. Im also the one that asked about the sizing hehe. Chinese blindbox BJDS and nendoroid dolls follow 1/12 scale (barbie size is 1/6 for reference, this also follows furniture of anyones interested) so they should be able to share clothes. As for the price..... there are cheaper options. While GSC releases their own dolls there are others (Disono, OB11, YMY) that are used to turn nendoroids into dolls. Theyre just the bodies (and frankly the stands they come with are bad) but theyre at least less than 15 dollars at taobao or similar sites. You can also check for their clothes bc theyre sooo cute! Most people can post them eithout the stands since their shoes are quite flat, though unfortunately they cannot share these shoes eith ND dolls (and ND doll outfits usually dont fit them either as theyre larger from what i remember) I love them so much bc i feel like i can make a doll from any animedia as long as they have a nendoroid! I have one of nico yazawa and shes a dear. Even if theyre not wearing something they canonically wear its fun to style them yourself. Anyways, my comment is so long so im thinking of making a proper post on dollect about it. Have fun with her!!

You can stabilize the joints of BJD’s by using a length of fine gauge florist wire in the knees and elbows. If they’re too kicky they need to be loosened just a smidge.

There’s a never ending catalog of clothes for this scale of doll on Etsy. I have some huge wish lists of clothes and shoes. I also found a barbie extras mini wearing a rainbow hoodie and I bought her just to steal that hoodie for my Azone picco neemo D body. It’s a decent fit tho baggy around the body. A pretty perfect fit on my Obitsu 11

I’ve seen sellers on Etsy that sell pattern Ebooks for sewing your own nendoroid/Obitsu 11 clothes. I really want to learn to see one of these days so I can make at least some basic things like skirts and hoodies

Catching up on watching your videos bc my friend Zack told me you got a nendoroid! Really happy to see you review one. I don't often buy the original character or full nendoroid dolls outright because of the lack of multiple faces (for example many of the characters from Demon Slayer only come with their main face). I often just buy the bodies/hands/clothing/other accessories separately. A key part of them is for the original nendoroid (most of the time from different licenses) to be supplemented with a doll body as those come with other faces. I think GSC got into making doll bodies to compete with people that customized theirs using cupoche/obitsu/other 3rd party bodies into nendo dolls. I will also say that the peg that your doll came with is the better neck peg as it's more suited for longer hairstyles and to compensate for clothes! I turn it to the side (so you can see the lil smile) and the head has better tilt! As far as older nendoroids most of the time the hair can generally go with newer style ones but faces are a gamble because they changed the system of them later. Sorry to go on so long, I just love nendoroids so much and the dolls are a major part of my collection as a doll collector. Lovely review as always. PS: I must recommend the YMY body for nendoroids as it's a LOT cheaper and far more sturdy than the actual ones made by GSC. And I feel that with them being cheaper it allows for more nendoroids into the collection and less of a need for so many different bodies. Thank you for always posting really good content!

I've been considering getting a Nendoroid doll, so this review was super helpful. :D I know a lot of people put Nendoroid doll heads/clothes on other body types with more articulation. Piccodo, I believe, though there are others out there that can also work. Maybe Obitsu 11? I don't know lol, but it seems kind of complicated. I said the same thing about Azone Pure Neemo dolls too though and now I'm addicted to them. :D

Awww, that flandre is so cute 🥰. Little long Backstory here, my fiancé was a big Miku fan when we first met, and back when I was little I didn’t like to play with Barbies. Fiancé had so much Miku figures, nendoroid and figmas, I also got a few nendoroids but the lack of articulation always bugged me. And the figmas were so fragile and expensive. Then I found a video from hextian were he made a Miku out of an ever after high doll. And I fell down the Doll-Rabbithole… Ever after high dolls (from wich I actually made a flandre doll, just missing the wings things), oh hey Barbie has a Made to move doll, more articulation, oh there are these dolls called bjd wich are smaller but have lots of articulation but are expensive as hell, oh look CuPoche made the Friends which have real clothes, maybe I can sew a Miku outfit for them even thou I’m crappy at sewing… And then they announced the Nendoroid Dolls. All my dreams came true, a little articulated Doll I can put a Miku head on and take her to conventions. …but they are freaking top-heavy cause of the hair and why do I have like 3 dolls and 4 bodys and 2 heads now? Oh hey, now you can fully customise them by buying extra eyes… urgh. Long story short, I still plan on making a Miku outfit, but for the YMY-Body I bought. And I still want a BJD… but Nendoroid Dolls are nice, and I love my little Miku (wich we had to buy 2 times, cause while he hates Dolls, my fiancé still wanted to put NDMiku in his Collection)

I have Ryo--I think he (generic boy) and Emily (generic girl) run a little less than the ones tied in with characters, but they're also often counterfeited, so for those looking, be careful of deals too good to be true. 😊

Obitsu 11cm dolls should be similar in size to the nendoroid dolls and their clothes should fit.

I have a couple of nendoroid dolls and some Kirby and Mario characters. I like the dolls but the price keeps me away from getting a lot of them. This is why I'm into the Chinese bjds. Not all Chinese doll brands are strung and those ones pose similar if not better, and they're half the price of some of the nendoroid dolls. Plus one of my nendoroid dolls got stained by his original outfit, so watch out for that.
