If business made sense, we'd always do that. Hahahahaha You must think we are all daft. It was clearly Matchroom's plan to run Queensberry into the ground. They were a rival and you wanted them out the game. Hearn could barely go an interview without making clumsy references to 'have a look at the business at Companies House' while everybody knew which business he was referring to. And guess what? He had a point. Frank's business was in trouble. It was putting on awful shows. The shows had crowds misbehaving and a succession of Latvian bus drivers rolling over in front of 'prospects.' But then it changed didn't it. The domestic shows are still poorly organised. We've got main events starting after midnight on a regular basis...but there's now a spring in Frank's step. And he's got a new hand to hold. And it is a hand dripping with money. So now we have this charade of 'ohhhh, we respect each other, we make fights together.' But you still don't. It's one thing having the fights in Saudi between Matchroom and Queensberry (which by the way, still hasn't happened yet) but it is very very different to having fights in the UK isn't it? The only reason they happen abroad is because the brutal man running boxing (who you're all terrified to call out) is pulling your strings. If Hamas and the Taliban had the money to put on shows Warren and Hearn would be broadcasting from Kabul and Gaza...with IFL setting up a satellite station out there. Do me a favour...as someone might say.

Everyone thought it was a huge mistake for Barry to hand over matchroom to Eddie and you can’t deny he’s done a brilliant job! I actually don’t think anyone else would have done it better! 🤷‍♂️ Eddie knows his stuff! He’s an elite salesperson who knows his boxing inside and out, Frank will have learned a lot from him and he’ll only get better in time.
