I use my old road plates for mils, replace bricks with plates to link corners, works perfectly
@cynthiastevens4209 Жыл бұрын
I had a cabinet once that I wanted more shelves in, so I drilled the holes inside myself and got some more of the little plastic or metal shelf bracket holders for them. You just don't drill all the way through to the outside. You could put some kind of guard on your drill to stop it from going all the way through. You could put tape around the bit so you know when to stop. Or use a larger washer or nut to hold in place that will stop the drill bit from going too far. Then cut your own shelf to put in there on the extra holders you buy.

Bricksie- with the 4 intersection road plates, you can actually use them for mils plates. You just need to make sure you use 16x16 plates for the top plate.

About the air purifier, I ended up buying one after that video back when you bought yours. I dunno if all models work similar, but on the specifications of mine it says it must be placed on the open in order to work, so there must be a gap of about 30cm on either sides, including top. Maybe a nice spot to place yours is close to the bottom of the stairs, where most of the dust come from to invade your room. 😉 About those huge number of crossing baseplates (thanks Lego for not making packs with straight roads only), maybe you could use them as bases for MILS-plates for roads themselves.
@wasiimd Жыл бұрын
You don’t necessarily have to butcher a baseplate for the front of your drawers, Walmart sell these self-adhesive rubber strips by a company called Mayka. They’re Lego compatible and come in 2x 4x and I think 6x, and can be cut to size just with scissors. The clutch power is not as strong as actual Lego because its a soft rubber but it’s sufficient. I’ve also removed it without leaving residue behind, might be worth looking into. PS all 5 of your ‘creatures’ are too cute haha

He could also cut the corners off the road intersections that he has no other use for and glue those on the drawer fronts.

Hey Jordan that ocean water looks amazing! Since you’ve redone it that’s my favourite part of your layout. About those table legs under it though. I agree they wouldn’t look good moving them to the outside of the 2x6 frame, but what if you moved them further back so the front of each leg was flush with the front of your Billy shelf to the left of it (or maybe even further back than that). The table should be plenty strong enough to handle the overhang as long as you’re not jumping on it. It would provide ample space for a storage cabinet and in future an unobstructed view of the under water scene

If you ever want to ad shelves, take a strip of cut down piece of pegboard and place it where you want shelves and drill holes. Works great. Oh and use the corners of your plates that don't sell for those drawers. Thanks for the content!
@westonbahr3037 Жыл бұрын
Suggestion for the excess road plates and the drawer plates. You could cut off each corner of those intersections, and each plate would give you four studded squares to show the drawer contents with! Win win!

You could use the old road plates as mills for brick built road conversion or cut the studs off your road plates for your drawers.

It’s videos like this that make me feel better about my $60-$100 part orders I occasionally have made. Just seeing all the parts & bags from previous orders at 16:21 & 19:52 is just entertaining. I think I have a problem overspending on this stuff, & then I see stuff like this.

Hey mate, maybe instead of cronstantly moving skirting you could get some wood stain from the hardware store that matches the table legs and paint the supports underneath to look the same. Would be darker colour that doesn't catch your eye as much. Black tape or paint on the edge of the table tops could be an option too. Keep up the good work.
@ogjake6161 Жыл бұрын
Instead of skirting have you ever consider wrapping all your support legs with Lego to match you support beam for basement? or possibly even the grey texture or masonry brick that’s throughout your city? It would give it a complete Lego built feel looking from a distance

Hi there, as for the skirting, I have a lego city too (hence my youtube), and I use "skirting" on my city which is way smaller than yours. But BLACK twin sheets do a wonderful job as skirting. I can send pictures if you need ideas.....Also you can still plan them so that you can still get underneath...PS. If youde like to get rid of those old road plates, ide be glad to take them off your hands.... :)

Maybe you could donate the plates that you couldn't sell to an area kid's school or a church organization. I would imagine that schools (pre-schools, pre-K's, etc) might need items like that for play time, breaks and, even though there are not a lot of studs on each plate, there would still be area enough for young kids to make small creations. Otherwise - do you have recycling in Canada (sorry if it's a dumb question). Maybe they could see a new life as a hairbrush or deodorant stick container, etc. LOVE seeing your organizing solutions though - inspires me to make changes and become more efficient in my own storage solutions.

Need a bigger lego room lol, I think the skirting would take away from the look. What a disappointment last night, oilers and the leafs lost their games.
