Crafting is therapy, it’s my happy place when I can’t get outside, I always thought I had to make things to be used I’ve now realised I can craft things like junk journals, ephemera and just go through the process of creating whether it gets used or not is irrelevant. Thank you Amanda for all you do in encouraging and creating. May 2025 be a great crafting year and doing things you love ❤❤❤

You have the real reason to craft. There is so much to crafting/creating. The therapy and escaping from the problems of the world. Yes, after you have made so many things and look back on them, you realize by your surprise that you have made a one of a kind masterpiece. You will marvel at the ideas that have come into your mind that you never thought possible.

Totally agree! I tell my husband that when I am creating is the only time my brain shuts everything else. The last few years have been tough I think 2024 was my rest and recovery year. Then my dad passing in June has made me really look at my life and realise whats important and that i am allowed to be happy. II have been both overwhelmed with stuff and my crafting had becomea chore so lost all enthusiasm. But I have had a rethink and going to focus on what I love doing the most and learning new things this year. I have never been a one craft person. I just want to makr things and share them. This means I am going to need to find a new crafty community. Happy New Year 💜

Happy New Year Amanda. I absolutely love to create anything from tags, cards, scrapbook's, etc that tells a story about that person, place, celebration it’s like writing a book.. I made a file for my hubby and put three A5 note books in it which did take long to make. He uses this to record all the things he grows in the garden during the year (his diary) . I have always loved art, something I have used from a very young age to help with dealing with not very pleasant things, people etc it is my pink and fluffy world which I love to get lost in. Time is a very precious thing and it goes so quickly, whch doesn’t help with how life is now, time is a thing which you can never get back. Making time can be hard but it is something that has to be learnt and it’s not you being selfish, it’s you being kind to yourself. Sorry for the waffling 🌞🌞

On 1 Jan I cut way more than that in holiday papers for my 2025 holiday theme. I glued 9 tag papers to 9 bases while listening to you. After my ill husband lies down after lunch, I will call my 90 year old mother on the phone and glue more tags. Pretty soon I will have all my tags ready to decorate.

KZbin! I have found several creators that I follow on KZbin. I have play lists with hundreds of videos of items that I want to make. I lack the skill and self confidence to make most of the items. I just started working with paper a couple of years ago. I actually put supplies aside to make your free standing ephemera folder but got distracted. There are so many creators and I follow several of them. I am subscribed to over 100 channels, most are no longer active but... I feel like a kid with too many toys. I will not be purchasing any more digitals in 2025. I have more than enough to keep me busy for the entire year. Unlike you, I'm usually making multiple items and I currently craft on my kitchen table. My craft room is too full of different crafts, to use. I really have to clean it out, but I get overwhelmed when I open the door. It doesn't help that its at the end of a hallway, giving me very little space to sort things.
