These decisions by companies like Amazon are not taken lightly. Yes, the union pressures are undoubtedly a reason. But there's more to it than that. Add in Quebec's high taxes, high Federal taxes, carbon taxes, in addition to Quebec's language laws - all business correspondence must now be conducted exclusively in French, which means paying for translators - and undoubtedly other reasons which haven't been outlined here. The "woe is me, I'm a single mom and everything is terrible" bleating is of zero consequence. No business is going to change its mind because a single mom doesn't like the results.
