It was not supposed to rain this morning. The weather is perfectly fine now but I'm at work. Enjoy the 3 minutes of craziness. Shop at icontennispickle.com .

Nice job! We play tennis in the rain too 💚🎾

Yup I hate having to stop for the weather. We've played with half the court covered in puddles and the racket flying out of your hands because the grip is soaked wet. Is that proper red clay? Would you ruin it by playing when wet? How quickly does it dry out?

Yup, doing this all the time, in rainy pacific northwest, sadly enough

What type of courts do you all have? It is actually pleasant to play on clay with a light drizzle.

A big buff hulk having a two-handed backhand is just weird to see, surely he's strong enough to play a one hander
@tenniswithandy4 ай бұрын
Thanks I take the hulk comparison as a compliment. Oh yes, the one hander vs two hander debate. I’ve played with a one handed backhand for like 85-90% of my tennis career. And when I hit it just right, it is the sweetest feeling and super powerful and heavy. Whereas with my two hander, it is my most consistent shot of all my shots. I can pass line or cross court with precision and can hit good lobs too. I don’t get nearly the same pace but I win more points and hit much less errors.

tell me you don't play tennis without actually telling me

The timing for the one handed backhand is much more unforgiving.

You don’t know a lot about tennis do you? Physical strength is not correlated with performance in tennis

😂 nice attempt to keep going! I always say: our skin is 100% waterproof, so no need to shelter when it rains. Then again i live in tropical indonesia so the rain can be almost refreshing here if you don’t mind getting wet and playing with heavy balls. Unless it starts downpouring so hard and you can barely see the ball and the heavy droplets almost start to hurt your skin!
@tenniswithandy4 ай бұрын
But the balls and courts aren’t waterproof. Lol

I've never seen a clay court in my life. I mean in person. Is this a public court?

Hilarious!! I think your partner was having fun especially, it looked like he wanted to break off several times pretty soon as the rain started, but I think he didn't want to let you down, haha!!

Yeah, I think we were both wishing the rain would stop. I shanked a serve because the water was in my eyes. After this monsoon, the sun came out and at least the hard courts were perfectly fine to play on in the afternoon.

I don't see how you can even see the ball with rain on your glasses! That being said, no reason to quit. You should be able to tread water for hours... LOL

It only affected my serve when I had to look up. That is why it was so slow. Lol

It became unplayable with the huge puddles afterwards. If it was just rain and not accumulating, I wouldn’t have minded playing.

We know what we’re doing in that we aren’t going 100% for every point or sliding on lines. We’re just trying to get some tennis before work.
