I often used to drive north on the M6, starting from Birmingham. It wasn't until I got past Preston that I could breathe out again. I rarely drove south from Brum, as a matter of principle. Just too much stress for my liking.

Haha I live down south in sunny Surrey and get scared when I head north - there's no one about at all. Having said that, coming back you really notice how busy it is, and how lousy the roads are. Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy them. PS Birmingham is up north!

As a southerner (to you) I can definitely say the Traffic is 10x worse up north! Especially M62 near Manchester!

I ran nights from Swindon to Manchester last year on doing tlr swap on nights. The M6 south around 2am was just as busy, sometimes with long queues. Maddening. Lol

I feel your pain mate! I hate driving south. Give me those glorious Scotland runs any day. The scenery up around the west coast run is beautiful! I went to Clarksons Farm last year. It was unbelievably busy! A huge long queue into the farm shop. I couldn’t be a**ed with it, so we just had an overpriced coffee and hot chocolate, sat in the lambing shed admiring the view, bought a hat then left. Also, that Strathtay Leyland bud you saw…those very buses used to run in my hometown Arbroath when I was a kid 😀

As a proud Scotsman myself you are correct the West of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is beautiful but I prefer the East only because was brought up in Falkland where some of Outlander was made but the gorgeous scenery to me will always be crossing the Forth & taken the A9 up North. Love it all. Thanks for the memories in seeing that old Leyland Tiger from the Strathtay Bus & Coach fleet originally from Dundee Raul. 👍

The south is a mad house. I miss the north! My depot is in Hatfiled so there is a lot of jobs in or around London... Crazy lol. I`ve been to Diddly Squat, nice place. Another great vlog Raul :)

It’s Bridge-water As soon as you said that and said fridge trailer I said Morrisons I regard Birmingham as the North where I’m from 🤣 The traffic can be diabolical around Bristol and the M5 south The M5 exit to Clarksons farm? I’m not sure which one would be closest as it’s located pretty much in the centre of the triangulation of motorways that are the M5, M40 and M4 I suppose 11a of the M5 would take you eventually to the A40 and turn left at Burford and that’ll take you there, a good 40 miles off the M5 though

Too many drivers, especially those driving large vehicles, think that once they put their signal out they can immediately change lane, regardless of whether a car is approaching on the lane they want to enter. I'm glad you don't do that.

don't forget the crappy M25 ,M11,M4 . I much prefer to drive up north got to suffer them this weekend at least I'm off Friday I'll miss the rush hour then. At least I only have to be in slough at 06.00 Saturday . I'll miss most of the traffic just have to put up with the night road closures.
