Heard this song for the first time when it randomly played on Pandora last year. It played at the most detrimental time of my life.. Battling depression from losing my job, losing my Aunt to Brain Cancer, finding out my ex finance cheated on me multiple times..having to move back in with my mom at the age of 30. I was going to end it all.. listening to this song in a trance state I wasn’t really listening to the lyrics… until @3:32 happened and it seemed like Nip was really talking to me. His voice cut through to my heart like butter and broke me out that trance like state it was almost like he was telling me to wake up.. and I was just in a bad dream. Came back today to say, I did stand up. I did get a great job working in Cybersecurity I did get a place of my own again. I didn’t cop a Benz but I still drive my dream car. Thank you Nip.
