6:58 I didn't do window cleaning, but I did window repair on tall buldings( the highest was 50 floors) and we worked on a 30 foot long swing stage and if winds get around 25 to 30 mph, our whole swing stage would move and sway all over the place. Once it got so foggy I couldn't see the other motor operator, I yelled I was going g down and he didn't hear me, I start going down and a bucket came sliding down towards me fast a shit. That was a scary job.

There is a concept called dark snow, that is the result of soot, ash and dust from Europe and North America darkening the surface snow in Greenland and the Arctic. The darker colour absorbs more solar energy and melts the underlying snow quicker than the air temperature would alone. A very real and serious issue.

Yeah, i've been spreading ash on snow for years to make it melt faster. After heating a fireplace daily (and the sauna) for 5+ months, i got lots of ash to get rid off. Tens of kilos of fine shifted dusty ash to get rid of the small charcoal bits. Note, avoid ash clumps. Thick layer of ash insulates the lower parts and will slow down the melting. It has to be a fine layer. And i still have to wait for april-may to get it all melt...

Most pancake syrup sold in the USA is made out of corn syrup, definitely not real maple syrup anyway. As to sap, more likely than not most if it you would not want to consume, like the sap from a rubber tree. Or perhaps that sap from the bloodwood.
