The old Flash is Jay Garrick. He was the first Flash and a founding member of the the Justice Society of America, but he is not blood related to Barry or any other speedster.

Not gonna lie. The fact that Guardian's reaction to finding out he's an artificially-aged clone of the original Roy Harper with implanted memories to make him think he was Roy's uncle was basically, "Meh, what are ya gonna do?" and he just went on with his life as Jim Harper and is now there as part of the group doing an intervention on Roy because he's having a clone identity crisis is 100% badass.

The old man is Jay Garrick the first Flash, Barry Allen is the second, Wally West is either Iris's little brother or nephew who becomes the third Flash in comics, and Impulse is Barry's grandson who obviously inherited his speed.

Explanation about Wally: During the Mike Baron run of The Flash, Wally replaced Barry as the Flash. Baron decided to make Flash more "grounded." So the Wally West version of Flash under Mike Baron could no longer run as fast as the speed of light. Further, he had to eat a lot more, and whenever he used his power, he had to sleep a lot. While some people didn't like the changes, I think the limitations made the stories more interesting. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan of Mike Baron.

Actually Ted Kord was the 2nd Blue Beetle, the 1st was Dan Garret. It’s understandable why ppl wouldn’t know that cause if we don’t see Jaime, we usually see Ted as Blue Beetle, never seen Dan in any shows

Guardian is basically the DC version of Captain America. Like Captain America, it's a title that gets passed around. Like Captain America, the most interesting incarnation is the black guy with no superpowers. Did you notice that Bumblebee is one of the high school students from last season? The Flash is really a story about two families: the West family and the Allen family. Jay Garrick is the original Flash and is not related to either family, but he's basically treated like family by the others. I can't believe the same actor who played Wally in this show also did Silco in Arcane.

No that’s not true at all, at first when he was kid flash he was the slowest flash but then he got trapped in the speed force for a couple years and when he returned from it he was the fastest flash because of the connection with the speed force while inside of it

It turned out he was subconsciously limiting himself, because he couldn't stand the thought of surpassing Barry. Later on, he became the most powerful of the Flashes, while Barry was revealed to be the source of the Speed Force

Ted Kord was the second Blue Beetle before Hime Reyes. The original Blue Beetle was Ted's mentor Dan Garett an archaelogist who found the Scarab in Egypt. The scarab is actually a symbiotic ai /weapon created by an alien race called the reach that ended up on Earth and fused with Dan giving him various superpowers. Dan died but passed it onto his genius student Ted Kord who took on the mantle but couldn't get the scarab to work for him so instead fought crime building his own tech and weaponary. Ted Kord is notably a member of the Justice League International fand is in a bit of a bromance with futuristic time travelling hero Booster Gold. The team was funded by a rich billionaire named Maxwell Lord(same guy from the Wonder Woman 2 movie). Ted discovers his friend is actually a bad guy and confronts him but ends up being shot in the head. Booster and Hime time travel to save Ted later, Now this is all comic book lore so its gonna be a bit different on the show.

2x4 - the husks intergang revive are said to once have been the hosts to the aliens called appellaxians and that their coming to earth caused the formation of the justice league. This is a direct reference to original justice league origin story featured in justice league of America #9 from 1962. Jamie talks about Ted Kord, the previous blue beetle, whom through superboy’s dialogue (I knew him. Good man) seems to be implied to have died during the 5 year time skip. This is consistent with Jamie’s origin from the comics where he becomes the new blue beetle after Kord’s death in the lead up to infinite crisis. Here Roy is shown to be a mess physically and mentally. This as well as his dialogue “my body is no temple. It’s a cheap knock off” could imply that he may be on some sort of drugs (like in the comics). This is just speculation on my part. Regardless his romantic relationship with Cheshire as well as their daughter is all from the comics. Guardian, who in previous episode was said to be Roy’s uncle Jim, is revealed to be another clone of the original Roy made to think he was Roy’s uncle. Artemis and Wally make their first appearance, having been revealed to have retired during the 5 year time skip. Whilst never said in the show, in the young justice video game it’s shown their retirement was a reaction to Tula’s death. 2x5 - not much to say that wouldn’t be spoilers. Just worth noting that blue beetle seems to be getting the most focus this season out of the new characters. Wonder girl also gets focus which is Notable as she is one of the first recruits in the comics. She joins in issue 4. 2x6 - bart Allen aka Impulse is introduced. In the comics impulse is one of the 3 founding members of young justice. (Along with Tim drake robin and Kon-el superboy). He’s a personal favourite of mine and I think the show does him justice (pun intended).

The reason why Wally doesn't run as fast like he was in Season 1 was because he retire his superhero duties. And because he decided to live with Artemis and have a normal life Wally basically stop training, and his super speed powers basically decrease. Which is sad really.

Untrue, Wally is just slower, he was in season 1 as well. When he becomes Flash in the comics apparently it’s a mental state thing, he doesn’t wanna outshine Barry, but eventually after deepening his connection to the speedforce he becomes faster. A great explanation of it I heard is that Barry distrusts the speedforce, he looks at it scientifically and thus doesn’t fully embrace it, but Wally looks at it more spiritually and trusts it, and thus is able to run faster

well the future changing cos you changed the pass isnt how time travel works if you go to the past and change something that doesnt delete the future you came from cos that would be a paradox where you wouldnt exist to go back in the first place so what happens is if you go back in time to create a new branch of a timeline so saving the past doesnt save the future it only makes a timeline where the future is saved

Wally has actually been always slower than barry as KF. I have a theory that in Bart's original timeline, Barry died fighting neutron and Wally rose up to become the next flash, becoming even faster than Barry ever was (As in the comics); but after Bart's interference Barry lives, Neutron doesn't become a villain and the rest of the season ensues.
