Looking back on this documentary I made, I can see where many things went wrong. We were so impressed by him, that we could not see that he had bigger issues. We have gone through a lot with him since this documentary was made. He did not make it to University of texas-arlington because of course they went by his overall GPA, which was pretty low by the time we got him halfway through his sophomore year of high school. His coach told him if he would get 22 credit hours under his belt then he could take that to the administrators and show that he was really serious about his education. He would not do that because he thought he had a pretty good job at the time. 2 years have gone by and he's made some pretty big mistakes in his life but he is trying to start over. Is now enrolled in the junior college here and trying to earn is 22 credit hours and has been offered a place on the Minnesota State College Southeast campus playing basketball. I hope he gets it and does well in life. I love my son very much, sometimes I'm not sure if I trust him anymore. I realize he has had a rough life and I have tried to be there for him as much as possible.
