Brother the whole equal thing it's so relatable. I have the exact same feeling. I've always thought that my ideal girl should be my equal, that's why I like tomboys so much. But tbf if there is a female me out there she has probably had multiple bfs and a lot of sexual experience. It's so frustrating when you think about it bcs you know yourself, you know what you would have done if you were atractive, now imagine a female version of yourself. She's now used by a lot of men and if I think about it I dont think my female version would date me, she would have this delusional standards bcs of all chads she had sex with. My oneitis was a tomboy, I really liked her bcs she was like me, but time sent us in very different paths, she was succesful in sports, academics, friends and relationshios bcs she was a girl, while I was left behind. I hope in another life things could be different. I really hope that. I miss her so much. Even not being attracted to me, just talking to her felt amazing. I'm not gonna see her or talk to her again, it breaks my heart to see her moving on, living her life, without me. I should be death. Idk what's the point of anything I do.

The "rationalisation" is what happens when you meet the cute girl. When she's not around and you actually start reflecting, with a level head, on the dynamics between men and women, it seem to reliably lead men to the same conclusion: it's completely asymmetrical. Women just don't love men as men love women, which is very disillusioning since men naturally want to have their feelings reciprocated (as you do in any kind of relationship, whether there's any s3xual element to it or not). Then, the cute girl re-emerges, and you start telling yourself nonsense like: "Oh, men are no different really, because men want s3x and that's no better," or, "Actually I guess I don't mind being valued purely as an ATM or an unpaid bodyguard" lol.
