Women are important in Islam. The prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam cared about and considered the feelings and suggestions of his wives. I don’t know why Hijab is talking about praying to women. That’s crazy, nobody is asking that of him. I’m confused as to what the point is..

@@AK-de7jn You need the context of this video. This was in response to a woman who brought up how a woman feels when a man gets multiple wives. His response was that at the end of the day, we are meant to follow and prioritise the Qur’an and the sunnah above all else. And the negative stigma modern Muslim women have toward men who have multiple wives despite this practice being an established sunnah of our beloved prophet saw and his companions, is a stigma which is unreasonable and needs to be addressed within our ummah

Just as Allah gives men their rights He also does not want to make life difficult for us. If you want to remarry you can, don't expect your wife to stick around though. He’s saying that you can’t consider getting a second wife cheating. Not that women’s feelings are invalid. When the Prophet ﷺ was going to marry one of his wives, she said she is hesitant to marry him because she’s a jealous woman. The Prophet ﷺ didn’t berate her, he made dua for her. He validated her feelings. This video was more about the framework. You can’t cast Islam aside and operate outside it as a Muslim and say things that go against it (like saying polygyny is cheating).

Women should have a choice in whether or not they stay married to a man who wants more than one wife. What they usually do is go behind her back, lying to her face until she finds out on her own somehow. That’s wrong, it should be an open discussion and both need to make their own informed decision. Also, men steal from their current wife to marry the second or third. Lastly stop the ish of trying to brow beat and manipulate women into accepting this just because it’s allowed. The reality is most men have no business having a second wife when they can’t afford the first.

The thing is polygyny is involved in the nikkah contract by default unless stated otherwise. So you cant call it "cheating" when the man gets another wife, even if its behind the first wife's back, cos the man doesn't need permission from his first wife to begin with. That'd not be cheating cos he's not going against the contract to begin with. Men seem to always ignore all the harm they do to the women. I have heard so many sad stories of women who were involved in these types of marriages and to be real: the difference between the sahaba and muslim men in 2023 is: The Sahaba cared for the women and often married multiple because they were poor while 2023 muslim men are lusting to marry more than one wife because of their desire. It's almost disgusting to witness how nowadays men are so obsessed with the thought of multiple wives. No wait, it is. The Sahabas were aware of their duty of their times and hardships, many women were in dire need of a husband because of poverty. But in the west in 2023? I don't think so. If men really cared for women all that much and thus want multiple wives so much they should take care of the single mothers who are in need of a father figure in their family. But you'll rarely find a man who marries those, because the 2023 muslim men who wants multiple wives only wants virgin obedient wives whom he can use for his lust and whom feelings he dismisses. Problem I see nowadays is that too many people nowadays always say "Allah said that, Allah allowed that", but they never ask themselves "why did Allah say that and why did he allow it?".

so basically you are saying that 2023 is not like the time of the sahabah and that sahabah married women who were in need and that's it, you are wrong islam quran and sunnah are for everytime whenever Allah allowed something to be there is no discussion if you are doing it correctly, "why did Allah say that and why did he allow it"? there are certain stuff that we cannot comprehend and our brain doesen't understand like for example "why did Allah make us pray five times a day?" we don't have to question what Allah says if we are true believers, sure ask questions gain knowledge, however if Allah allowed something there is a benefit from it and a good reason behind it. keep in mind that Allah taught us to be equal with our wives and that we will be judged by our actions towards them HOWEVER if you have a feeling in your heart about one of them and you don't be unfair (liking one more than another which is ok) then you are not judged aslong as it's in your heart.

Absolutely spot on sister!! This is the reality. They are far from the real men of the Prophet’s(pbuh) time. They keep harping on about sunnah this, sunnah that but the vast majority of them can’t even grow a beard (which is actually compulsory not a sunnah) nor do they pray in the mosques which is also compulsory. The Prophet (pbuh) said to burn the houses down of men who don’t pray in the mosques but they will conveniently overlook that. Even with multiple wives they will never emphasise that the SUNNAH of the real man Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was that he married mainly widows and even older women. If they want to implement the sunnah then do it properly and be like the Prophet and marry widows. The fact that they bleat on about virgin wives show they are disingenuous and have no real care for the sunnah. Funny how they come out of the woodworks when a “sunnah” appeals to their base desires but crawl back in when it doesn’t. Anyway multiple wives in the West isn’t commonplace or legally accepted so it’s just a pipe dream.

You don’t need to prostrate to women’s feelings to have empathy. If there’s no empathy and unity, then there’s no marriage. Being married is being in a team, not making decisions on your own. And I’m not talking about her retaliating or getting revenge from you, it’s simply a bad move to treat another human being ESPECIALLY your wife/love of your life with such selfishness. Yeah, force your wife into stuff she’s not into, how could that ever go wrong 😑 Just put yourself in her shoes for God’s sake how easy is it to do that? Say you’re the wife and your husband just pops up saying “I want another one”. You won’t accept it. Mohammed Hijab won’t accept it either. “You need to answer to Allah”. @@V12509 I have the picture that I do because I found it amusing a while back. For you to use that as a way to pass judgement and dismiss what I say because 'I'm a kid' rather than just focus on what I've said is a characteristic befitting a person who has not grown a pair yet. Don't fixate on the semantics. If you read what I said, " if it affects her then speak to your wife " this is on everything not just a 2nd/ 3rd/4th marriage, but again it is not her decision to make with regards to whether a man gets a second wife. You say put yourself in your wife's shoes and that if I was her I wouldn't want my husband to get a second wife. Firstly, I ain't a woman and will never be, I'm a man I can't put myself in her shoes because you are asking me to understand a woman's emotions, impossible. They sometimes don't even understand their own emotions. Secondly, why wouldn't you be questioned by Allah if he has given you a halal avenue to meet your desires and you choose not to but as a result you struggle to lower your gaze or worse fall into greater haram because "my wife's feelings " matter more to me than my akhirah. Thirdly, Islam isn't about what I like and don't like, we hear and we obey. As a Muslim you have submitted to Allah and acknowledge him as the all knowing, so everything he has said, he has said for a reason. Accept it. You speak as though the default position of Islam is monogamy when it isn't, surah nisa states "marry 2,3 or four and if you cannot do justice then marry 1". The surah does not say marry 1 see how you get along then ask her permission. Once again grow a pair. Allah made you a male so become a man.

I agree that women’s or anyone else’s feelings should not be placed above the religion of Islam. However, when it comes to a marriage, each party’s concerns and challenges do need to be taken into consideration. Etiquette and courtesy dictate it. Do you really think a man can stay married to his first wife after getting a second without any prior notice? Possible, but not probable. If marrying to satisfy a man’s sexual desire is allowed, so is divorcing to alleviate a woman’s mental/spiritual harm because of a life-altering event. Good if she stays, but the option to leave is allowed. Sheikh Aseem-al-Hakeem also says this in cases where the wife cannot tolerate it and it affects her self and her responsibility towards the family. Hypothetically, even if a wife divorcing if the husband remarries is not allowed, what can the husband do if the wife wants to leave but is unable to, and so shuts her whole being down? You can only force and impose for so long. After a while, even fear will not make an impact. Men don’t have to agree with women, sure, but at least attempt to acknowledge the tremendous challenge of the situation? It would go a long way. If the roles were reversed, and a wife was allowed to have multiple husbands upto 4, and your wife didn’t feel the need to run you through it before marrying the next man she desires - would you say “Ah, but my feelings don’t matter when compared to the religion”? We know the religion comes first. But would you really simplify it so pragmatically if it was you facing this challenge? A little empathy helps. Honestly, I agree with almost everything Hijab said. But the way the caption is framed - that’s a little disappointing. It seems like it has been designed to create maximum controversial impact. At the end of the day, polygamy is okay. Monogamy is okay. Just communicate clearly from the get go, what either party’s expectations are in the marriage. I am sure there are women who would want to be part of a polygamous marriage, just as I am sure there are women who like all the love and attention to themselves in a monogamous marriage. Just don’t impose it on an unsuspecting woman and use the sunnah card. It’s really not that hard. Allah has okayed mutton too. Doesn’t mean I have to eat it if I don’t like it. At a time when Muslims are being attacked from outside forces, let’s be kinder to each other. Brothers and sisters alike. Let some semblance of peace prevail instead of this constant controversial back and forth. It’s exhausting, don’t you think? ✨🤗 We are the same species.. women’s ability to feel more acutely does not warrant men’s dismissal of women. You are more than your muscle and we are more than our feelings.

Mohammed Hijab is always very quick with his mouth, also his pro-aggressive attitude is very unpleasant. To this day, all kinds of artifacts and the like are found during excavations. Anything that literally refers to Israel and the Jewish people, early Christianity etcetera. Nothing but also nothing about Islam and so called prophet Muhammad is found. However, entire libraries have been written about Jesus, including by historians. In the Old Testament, Jesus was announced several times, thousands of years before Jesus was even born. Even that Jesus had to die on the wood and the like is clearly described. Muhammad has literally been underexposed. In part, it is because Western scholars have long believed that Islam had arisen and grown in the full light of history. Islamic stories about the life of Muhammad. Roughly the biography that Ibn Ishaq wrote around 760, the Sirat Rasul Allah or The Life of God's Prophet. Unsurprisingly, important information is missing from the Qur'an, while the Torah, as well as the Old and New Testaments, is so much recorded. Islam, through the Qur'an, has to make an effort to interpret so many passages. There is only one God, that is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Jesus as Islam describes it is not the real Jezus, also Allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It has to do with Faith and not with religion. Many don't see this important difference. Muhammad only one man, a mortal, is impossible to compare with Jesus. Jesus is only one prophet in the Qur'an. Jesus spoke words of God, of salvation, of Eternity Is the only one who could say: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And no one comes to God (Abba the Heavenly Father) except through Me. Jesus' message was based on Love, Hope and Forgiveness and even loving your enemies. No revenge, shairia or the sword and honor feuds. Or Sharia "Islamic law" Not a loveless religious man's work. Only believe in Him Yeshua Hamashiach Jesus Christ. The Qur'an is considered to be the first work of prose in Arabic literature and has had a major influence on the literary development of Arabic. However, the Word, the Torah and Bible are mainly inspired by God's Spirit, Jesus Himself and the true prophets. Mathematically sharp and clearly described, the foreshadowings of the Old Testament refer cristal clearly to the New, about what has happened, what is happening today and what is to come in detail. Everyone needs Jesus as Redeemer, Savior, and Finisher. No, mind you, no other Name than Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach. By faith in Him man is justified and saved. Only faith and no religion, tradition, culture, man's work or so calked own good works. That doesn't cut anyone, only Jesus Christ is the Way, the Answer. choose today whom you will serve, all who have accepted Jesus have the power to be a child of God, which is different from being a mere creature. He who seeks will find, and he who knocks,... It will be opened. Even if there was no writing. God is Sovereign and Almighty. He... God works in man and not the other way around. If God does not build His House, the laborers toil in vain. Everyone needs Jesus, The Jews, the Muslims, the Christians, the Buddhists, the Hindus, the pagans, the so-called intellectuals and teachers, gurus, shamans, even MohammedHijab, in short, without Jesus one is lost forever. God makes the times go faster so that no flesh may be lost and one may be saved. Many people live in fear and uncertainty, will I make it and so on, often because of religion, because of cultural things, bondage, tradition, human laws and rules, manipulation. Nothing but also nothing to do with the True Faith that Jesus speaks of While Jesus has the Answer and gives it. It is always first and foremost about a personal conviction inspired by God and entering into a relationship with Him. All who labor and are heavy laden, come to me, says Jesus, "my yoke is easy."

Not this, nor that. If you want the best example as muslims, we look to the life of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh and follow his example. You find the middle ground of balancing the feelings of your wife/wives while also not allowing the balancing act to become a detriment to your faith as a Muslim. Its extremely hard to do of course, hence why marrying multiple woman isn't for everyone. But its definitely doable with the right intentions, wisdom, having the qualities of a true Muslim, and being clear and upfront about it from the start. Because simply put, not everyone can handle that sort of relationship. So we ask Allah swt to make us Muslim men who are capable of being just, wise, kind and compassionate with our women, and to make our women god fearing, kind hearted, appreciative and understanding to our Muslim men. All while both remain steady on the path that Allah swt has laid out for us... Ameen

100% but at the same time the Quran tells you, you have to treat all wife’s equally and give them love, care attention, keep them happy and provide for them. I don’t know too many men who can actually do that without going against that.

I didn't see the full video, but cheating I.e fornicating is haram. Unless he has done Niqah and made that woman his wife, it is haram. If he's texting or sleeping with his 2nd 3rd or 4th wife it isn't cheating. Obviously that's clear. And of course in all circumstances the 1st wife can choose to request a divorce and leave him if he does display behaviour that isn't compatible to her way of life.

What is this dude talking about? Simple English was used, but he is gaslighting the facts. Regarding the word cheating and puts it only at women. This brother needs to be very careful. The accountability will be on him on the day of judgement if he is leading people astray.

He's not talking about infidelity. Apparently, the other guy said Islam aside, he feels like taking a second wife is cheating. And Mohammed Hijab said infidelity is infidelity and this is not infidelity and you cannot equate the two just because of a woman's feelings.
@kenkaneki9138

Dude I dont think you know what you just wrote or even watched the short. Where did he say cheating is only at women? She said she feels that having a second wife is cheating when in Islam its completely halal to do so. Cheating means infidelity so she is implying that the man is committing a major sin but the Quran says it halal and not a sin. I dont think she knew the implications of her words tbh.
@SaceedAbul

Cheating would imply a breach of contract. Islam defines the contract. To say islam aside is like saying putting the whole situation aside. It’s illogical
