I’ve never been in a relationship, but this song has always resonated with me in a way I can’t exactly describe. I’ve always struggled with loving myself, and I’ve been in a scenario where i feel as if i’ve said something wrong or I’ve crossed a line somehow with someone. And when this happens that deep regret always follows me, and all I want to do is go as far away from that person as possible. This song is very raw and human, which is something I truly appreciate.

Number eleven is ‘Door’, which is a very short song, somewhat in the vein of Guided by Voices, that I’m a huge fan of, they really have a knack for writing super short songs, and I think it’s just like about a minute ana half or so? It’s under two minutes, but what it was inspired by was a (uh) I hate to say it but (uh) (um) (Dallon makes a tongue clicking noise) you know, eh-it-relationships are hard, we’ll start there, relationships are hard, and every marriage, no matter how good it is, everyone has that one fight, where (uh) you cross a line, and you say something that you don’t mean and (uh) writing a song like (uh) Door, is really about that moment, and the regret that comes after that moment, (Dallon makes another tongue click) (um) you know, (uh) the line that’s in the song is ‘if I’m ever out of line, just show me the door’, ya know, kick me out of the house, (uh) which i-is something that’s you know, i-in hindsight, (uh) it’s-it’s nice to be able to say that, you know, that a moment like that isn’t, doesn’t have to be permanent (Dallon laughs) and can lead to, to writing (Ryan:) We’ve all been there (Dallon:) Yeah, w-well that’s the thing! It’s a pretty universal thing when it comes to relationships, (Ryan:) ye (Dallon:) (um) everyone can have that moment but I think it’s more important instead of dwelling on that moment and, i-it’s more important to, to regret something like that so that you can learn from it an learn how to communicate better and things (sure) like that so
