The very first episode just after Tony gets home from being rescued and Melissa hears the shower running is the best. I am pretty sure Barbara Eden was actually pregnant at the time it was filmed.

There are for me two European actresses, which you can compare in the same way and of the same time or nearly real lifetime to Barbara and Raquel Sophia Loren, the more synthetic one and Claudia Cardinale, the natural beauty. My husband was a young airman stationed at Patrick AFB, Florida as a photographer when the cast of I Dream of Jeannie came there on a publicity tour. He remembered Barbara Eden as beautiful, very gracious and kind. Bill Daly had a quick wit and smiled a lot. Larry Hagman was difficult during a photo shoot.

Awwws! I liked that they had Jeannie & Tony get married! Btw, I saw that episode, with the wedding photographers, quite recently. The way they worked that storyline, none of the “Jeannie photos” ever came out. The only one they ever show, in that episode, is one that Tony is looking at while the photographer is apologizing that it “didn’t come out right”, and that he doesn’t know what went wrong. All you see of Jeannie, in that engagement photo, is her purse floating in mid-air next to Tony’s arm, which appears to be wrapped around nothing. That was a large part of the comedy of that episode - Jeannie & Tony trying to figure out ways to avoid her being “photographed”, so as to avoid too many awkward questions about why Jeannie wasn’t “turning out” in any of the photos.

Loved the show, still watch it, and while doing reruns I notice things that happened during it, like how Jennie did photographed in an earlier episode, and she was supposed to loose her power after marrying a human but she didn’t, Mrs. Bellows also played in an early episode as some other person, and other things like that

9:17 "The show even broke it's own lore" Don't get me wrong...this is one of my favorite sitcoms ever...but it broke it's own lore too many times to count (another example is where Tony is going to marry Jeannie because the great Haji says that if a Genie marries a mortal they will lose their powers...then later on in the series they do get married and Jeannie still has her powers) Lore was broken episode to episode for plot convenience...they made up the rules as they went along. I actually wouldn't change it, it's part of the shows charm.
