I wish I could go back to band class and appreciate my time there more. My music teacher clearly hated his job and that's why I quit before going to high school but freshman year in musical theater we watched this musical and when this song came on it reminded me of the time when I was one of the 1st trumpets. Loving to play.

this song was in my head today... this version. I played flute that year, I was connected with the snares in the half time show the way the teacher set it up (I remember too much ughhh lol)... I was put there because the flutes didn't want to be near the percs and since they didn't want me in their section, they thought this was fitting. So silly now. .but then, kids were mean. The quiet ones got picked on (me ! lol)... 2 years later I joined the percussion section.
