Sheer black tights, black and white striped tights or knee high socks could also work as grunge. If you can find tights where one leg is a different color from the other, that would fit too!

Goth elements can be applied to other aesthetics. Tradgoths are just goth with punk. Nugoths are just goth w insta baddies. Health goths are just goths at the gym. Victorian goth is just goth with victorian. Casual goth is just goth w normal clothes. Gothic lolita exists??? Like????

I don’t think that goth is a subsection of egirl style, I simply meant that egirls can have gothic elements prominent in their style and “goth egirl” is just what I would call that style of dress. I know that the egirl aesthetic as a whole descents from gothic/emo fashion because it has been around for much longer.

But black clothes, chains, band tees, chokers, the big teased hair (that didn't really go over into the egirl style) , fishnets are goth and emo at the same time. These elements are also present in other darkly inclined subcultures such as punk and metal, and have undoubtedly been inspirations to the egirl style.

Goths can have an egirl style bc goth is not a fashion based subculture. Its music and mindset and an attraction to gothic elements that can be easily be applied on other, already existing style (it's certainly what tradgoths did to punk). So relax
