That is one expensive lunch ? almost 5k for bunch of sandwiches and water :O .. I'm Srilankan and I can tell that you guys got ripped off by that shop owner .. It shouldn't cost you more than R.s 700 /=

Honestly at the time it felt like it yeah. A few things contributed to both the price and us settling for it - after driving all day, most restaurants we tried to stop at were closed. This one was right across the road from the turtle rehab places just before Hikkaduwa. I assume they have a menu for tourists and a menu for locals. We usually would turn around and walk out based on those prices but after not finding anywhere open that we wanted to stop at… we just took what we could get. Looking back on it in a much less hungry state than we were then… I wish we said no to them hahah 😂

Fuel problems in Sri Lanka will solve soon. Coz few foreign fuel companies will start distributing fuel here soon. According to the government sources Chinese company will start their supplies next month and then another two another supplier with in next few months.
