Cheers Brian. Yeah, it's cool to be able to drive into more rural areas in China and still find EV charging. I'm hoping motorway service stations will put in even more charging stations soon as sometimes theres a queue because so many EV's are on the roads here.

I love your car already at first look😊. Most foreign tourists can't rent a car to explore around on our own, even with an international driving licence. The problem with private tour in China is that their itineraries are place of attractions but my love are for such simple countryside, and to explore along the journey and just to enjoy the simple suburban and rural places without a fix destination. i am envious of your furry pets who can travel with you.

Cheers, it is nice to be able to use a car when exploring here. I also don't really like tours much. In a car you can stop wherever you want and travel at your own pace and it's especially good for bringing animals along. I have a Chinese driving licence, I sat the theory test, but I think tourist can get a temporary licence, although I'm not sure about car rental, most private cars are insured for all drivers (the vehicle is insured) here unlike the UK where the insurance is usually tied to named drivers only.
