I noticed you are reacting to all Pearl Jam covering other bands. Do you know any of their original music? They are up there with the bands they're covering as far as awesome songs.

Great reaction on this pearl jam performance, another showcase of how versatile pearl jam is...next you should consider eddie vedder doing Bob Dylan Master of War in 92 during the 30th Dylan Anniversary concert celebration, it was mind blowing and very convincing

Amazing how many artists inspired by pink floyd, very very few covers get near the original especially floyd. I just enjoy hearing other artists covering them. I prefer vedder doing masters of war though

Boom Gaspar tours with them to play keyboards. You often hear the crowd chant "BOOOOM" after particularly great keyboard highlights. Boom is perhaps featured best in the track Crazy Mary. Pearl Jam has NEVER repeated the same set list. Each show is unique, but Crazy Mary is frequently in the rotation and for good reason. I have a feeling you'd particularly love that one. Thanks again for the solid reaction and for the shout outs.

@@THEDavidHeretic I would either review the live version from Santiago Chile (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2GtqIpsZ5ihZ6M), or the live version from MSG (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZexnmeDj7GDiJY) . Production value of the video is a little better in the MSG clip, but musically I think the Santiago version is ever so slightly better. Either version is A++++++++++ so you can't go wrong picking either one. Whichever one you don't review on the channel you should listen to in your private time for your own personal enjoyment.

Pearl jam does a mean version of "masters of war" on letterman 🤙

Not a bad version at all. Vocals, keys and acoustic on point. But to me, the 1980 live version of Floyd themselves remains the best. And the solo in this is... lacking a lot of the details and nuance. Especially the second part. Where are the rakes and slides? And where's the volume!
@Esl19994 жыл бұрын
I think Pearl Jam chose Mother to cover because it’s a simpler song to perform. Pink Floyd’s 1980 live performance is superior in almost every way to this but whatcha gunna do, it is what it is.
@jmurray20183 жыл бұрын
Didn’t like this one- thought it was boring his vocals to me sound off or were in the wrong key I’ll give it 3.5 hope there’s better pink floyd songs out there
