I live across the street from an elementary school. Last Spring, I decided to pass on my Mother-in-law and Step-Mom's tea-cup collections. My son also wanted to pass on his old Beanie baby collection, so we paired up a tea cup and a Beanie baby and displayed them on a table set up next to the sidewalk. When school ended that day we offered them free to the children and their parents who expressed interested. I think our loved ones would be happy knowing their treasures have found new loving homes and weren't discarded at the local thrift store. Happy Spring! 🌻

Fine teacups can be very special.....many years ago when our girls were in elementary school, and during the winter, when they came home from school we would have tea....tea made in a teapot and served in find china teacups and served with a few cookies. They loved it....they are in the late 50's and early 60's now.

I do watch the eagle cams and it can be awe inspiring or very sad. I just read an article more in depth about them and it stated that the odds of success for this pair has not been great. Out of 14 eggs they have laid over the years that they know about, only 5 have hatched. Out of the five that hatched only 2 have made it to adulthood. This is a great time to educate people about the need to stop using lead weights while fishing. The fish swallow the lead weights if they get away and then the eagles eat the fish, thus getting lead poisoning.

Lead poisoning is the worst culprit for bald eagles sadly.

I have watched Jackie and Shadow for years! I’m a retired teacher- I used to have the stream on in my classroom on the big Smartboard screen- students LOVED watching them! It is definitely heartbreaking when the eggs don’t make it!!! I love them, though!

Couldn't believe it. Went to a Goodwill today and they had marked tank tops 7.99 and regular shirts 8.99. It is just infuriating to me. You can shop at Ross and get brand new clothing for the same price or less. It really makes me mad. I left with nothing.

Totally have been watching Jackie and Shadow for three years. Saw them have their eaglet Spirit and watched her grow and leave the nest. Last year and this year the eggs are not making it. )-: definitely sad! Watching it on FOBBV!

Our pair of eagles in Whitewater Township in Cincinnati, Ohio have 3 babies this year, they are so cute. Last year they had 2. It is so interesting watching mom and dad take care of them.

I watched the Decorah eagles( from Decorah, Iowa,) that were live on Ustream. All went well till later on. You become really attached to the parent eagles and the juvies. So sad that what you're watching had eggs that didn't hatch.❤ I love fancy tea cups! Coffee or hot tea seems to taste better.😊 The jewelry is fab!!!

FYI- In case anyone isn't aware: Canvas prints of art are now very popular. It's another option for artist's when they decide to make prints of their originals. When I've ever looked for art to buy, I have to look very closely bc the art can look so much like the real thing...especially with watercolors that wouldn't have any raised brush strokes. I do like that art of that house too...it's really nice!

I'm watching the eagles as well. They also had one egg last year that never hatched. I was really hoping that they would at least have one of their 3 eggs hatch this year. I am so disappointed. I keep checking their nest every day and go back over the last few hours to see if they are sleeping on the nest and have not seen them for several days. I agree that it is so sad!

Danni, I picked up the exact cowry shell and it held toothpicks with tiny shells on the ends. Getting things for myself is a real struggle though. Last week i went shopping and kept everything!! Waa waa lol. I do check on jackie and shadow occasionally. So sad to me as well.

Or, just buy some inexpensive store totes, then you can use them for your grocery shop trips, use the ones you buy here, lay them on the bottom of inside of the basket, like Tiffany did with her own quilt, then when you get to the checkout you are all set !!!

It's interesting to see a schoolhouse painting done from the lower perspective as if from the view of a child that would have attended that school. That adds to the uniqueness of the piece. When I drink hot tea, whether I use a mug or a teacup depends on what I'm doing. If I have the time to just focus on relaxing, I'll choose a teacup. But if I am busy, or may be distracted, therefore take too long to finish the tea, I'll choose a mug because it will hold heat longer.

The Tea cups that say fine bone china on the bottom are the nicest ones to drink tea out of in my opinion. Just have to make sure the handle is comfortable, as I don't think people quite held them the same way we say hold a mug now. I have often got my fingers caught in the handles holding them the wrong way. I quite like Tea cups as decorative items. One can look good on on a shelf or window sill, if it blends in with the decor.
