Natural honey is very healthy and has some healing properties to it. For viruses not much one can do about it, but let it run its course. I have a common cold and off of work for 2 weeks. But as a surgeon, I can't risk going back into to surgery. Once surgery begins, I can only touch two things.....the patient and surgical instruments. I can't even touch my face or if I need to scratch my arm. We do this to minimize any potential infection(s) to the patient. When I was new at the job, it was frustrating to say the least. But you get use to it, or you won't be a surgeon for long.

JASON this is what I did and I am still taking some of it each day..... slice up some onion and put it into a wide mouth mason jar and pour honey over it. Then squeeze a lemon in it. Let it sit on the counter over night and then strain off and take the liquid. I did a tlb. twice a day. It's not as bad a dose as I thought it was going to be. Wouldn't hurt to also put some fresh garlic in it to.

My husband is an expert cabinet man and he said that the reason that door opens on your bookcase, is that the hinge on that door is bound up. He said their could be a screw in the hinge is not in all the way and is putting pressure on the door. If not that he said the hinge may need to be set a little deeper in the door. Hope that gives you some ideas.

My mom used to set us kids up with a BRAND NEW 64 count box of Crayola crayons and a pack of coloring books when we were sick and needed to be quiet. I don't know how well that worked, but we sure enjoyed it! And if your throat was sore, it was banana popsicles!

That is absolutely stunning "china hutch". The bookcase is gorgeous, great choice and placing in the bedroom. You could glue in some magnets to keep it closed. Elderberry juice/ syrup, ZINC, VITAMIN C, fluids and REST! Pedialyte would help with the vitamins/minerals and keep you hydrated, and not overload your 1 kidney. Small sips and as best for you to tolerate. Mask if messing with any dusty feeds or hay. Dress appropriately, but yes sunshine and fresh air, even just getting out and walking to and from your mailbox. REST AND REPEAT! Mucinex liquid generic or brand name to help loosen any of the bacteria/virus gunk in your lungs to help prevent full blown pneumonia. Yes, I am a nurse---REST often.

In Scotland when we get that kind of visit at the doctors we say we've went for a wee MOT (this is something every vehicle has to go through yearly to make sure they are safe to be on the roads). Jason, you should take a spoonful of that beautiful honey you have before bed that will help you sleep, if you end up with the cough that eventually comes. Be better soon!

I went to the Dr yesterday and everyone there including the staff were sick. The Dr said that between RSV and Covid they have been out straight. I hope you get to feeling better soon Jason

For a previous commenter question. RSV is respiratory syncytial virus. There is now a one time vaccine recommended. for people over 70 and others at risk of severe infections.

I ended up in the ER yesterday with my bad cough and pulled muscle. No pneumonia, thank goodness. I was able to come home and rest. Hope you get well soon!

I know a couple of people that have/had the same illness. Took a couple of rounds of antibiotics, plenty of sleep, plenty of fluids. The sickness does last awhile, 2-3 weeks or more. Please take the time to take it easy.

We all had this 'virus' going around and it turned into walking pneumonia for 2 of my 3 kiddos. ( 13 and 6) And a severe ear infection for the 4 yr old. Im still hoarse on occasion after weeks, hubby still has a cough. All of us have ended up on antibiotics. Give yourself grace, listen to your body. Prayers for quick and full recovery!

I hope you feel better soon! I’ve commented a few times about my daughter, she was diagnosed with flu, bronchitis, ear infections etc etc given antibiotics, steroids etc, then her third week of not getting any better they finally tested her further and she had mono. I had not heard of anyone having mono in decades and apparently it’s back. Keep that in mind if u don’t recover soon, we r not that far from you in NW GA. It’s viral but last 4 to 6 weeks. Ivermectin finally helped but she was sick for a month! Hope you feel better soon Jason!

I've been sick for 33 days as of today .totally frustrating as my Dr told me I she doesn't know what I'm sick with . Instead of ordering different blood work ,that the er didn't do ,do a new chest X-Ray as I still have congestion in my chest on the right side. Instead she prescribed me a new expensive inhaler ,yeah i m breathing better . But still feel like total c..p again .🤔

Cog hill farms Mrs coghill I bought some Vicks vapor rub that comes in in roll up stick and rub 3-4 times a day on my neck and chest and it really helped.

I'm glad you went to the Dr. I'm glad he didn't seam too concerned. Hope you feel 100% soon. Don't overdo I know it's hard not to go go go when there are so many things that always need to be done. Maybe take this time to do some planning for the spring and summer. Matilda is doing amazing I'm so happy that she is exploring the pasture.
