Hey Blitz! Thanks for ONI, really enjoying it. Just a note, the liquid lock only needs a small amount of water in the middle and left tile. Once the tile has any liquid it no longer accepts gas in the cell.

Hey, Blitz! You don't want those hatches. You're going to want Sage Hatch. They produce coal at 100% of their intake as apposed to the ones you're making which produce only 50% of their intake. To get them you need to feed them plants and stuff.

I find Stone Hatches to be better than Sage Hatches, as more plentiful food source.

Couldn't you use the wheezewort to make a kind of radiator system? Like, pump water through radiator pipes into a room with the wheezewort to cool it down and then send it through the hot areas to cool them down? That would fix the radiation poisoning issue by keeping the plants away from most of the dupes.

Pretty sure but Pravus tried using some anti-entropy nullifier thing that got down to -100 degrees and even then it wasn’t enough to cool 1 furnace so you’ll need a really powerful system of wheezeorts for this to work

you should probably move the doors for the hatchling rooms so they are above 2 tiles, otherwise your hatches will escape all the time as your dupes go in and out of the rooms

Another way to "lock" a door is to make it one way, so if someone gets trapped inside somehow they can open it to get out, but no one should go in.

When youre building rooms that you dont want something to off gas in, take the gas out, fill it with 2kg gas pressure of whatever you need, THEN put the off gassing product inside 😆 hope some of these tips are helpful its a really difficult game

Connect your incubators to a cycle sensor instead of a switch if you have it researched and set it to be active about 10% of a cycle handy way of automating them without using much power

I don't recommend feeding Slime to Sage Hatchlings. It's a very useful (and semi finite) resource as it can be used to grow mushrooms.

Also something I would suggest, is use a door an airflow tile on the inside of the Hatch rooms to "confine" them to a much smaller area while not effecting their mood.

That hydrogen vent would be insne for an entropy machine. But the hard part is whether entropy machine cools gas enough. I havent had a hot vent like that to test ability to cool, but potentially viable.

Be careful with your stone hatch farms, you'll have plenty of rock to feed them until suddenly you don't, I recommend switching feed able material when you get down to about 200 tonnes of each so as not to leave yourself completely without later on (though sedimentary rock is mostly useless so if you start running low on all of them let that be the one that runs out first, followed by granite as it can be slightly useful for the decor bonus, and then igneous rock is the most useful so try not to let that run out, though if is infinitely renewable through volcanoes I wouldn't rely on that for hatch feeding, and you can eventually make igneous rock renewable with a regolith melter but that might be a bit beyond you at the moment (but if you make it far enough I highly recommend trying one!) Mostly I'd recommend the simplest approach, slicksters will eat your excess carbon dioxide and give very small amounts of oil in return, but the meat will help subsidise your hatches and give you more time before you run low on rock

Also, when you ask why you need a door on the top, it allows more airflow before airflow tiles exist and costs very little, can be handy but not essential, it definitely wouldn't do any harm in 99% of situations!

You're so close with your deodoriser room, take out the gas pump and make it 2 tall, going from your habitable area to the polluted oxygen, that gas pump early game is going to cost power which is going to hurt your survival chances when you start running out of power sources (I guarantee this will happen unless you get into geothermal before that)

Rather than having a dupe disable a door, there are permissions on the door that can prevent everyone from going one or both direction which doesnt take dupe labour and can be used to make areas only certain people can enter or if you find a need for it one way systems (such as a way to make a bathroom you can enter from both sides but only leave on one side to ensure people pass the sinks when leaving)

best way to keep food fresh in oxygen not included: keep your food in carbon dioxide. you don't need chlorine. but you do also need to keep it cold (according to my knowledge) edit: i watched the rest of the vid and he realised he could use co2 edit 2: he used chlorine
