It takes roughly 35-40 minutes to complete this route. It's likely faster to do the Oxygen Mission + Minining / stealing to get out of jail. I would consider this method if you have a sentence longer then 12 hours. You will likely escape and clear the crime stat faster then you can mine and mission your way out.

I believe if you get your rep with ruto up, you will start getting a mission called something like "helping each other " it spawns in the prison hab area.

This was a really well thought out guide. An idea for a video if you need one is a run down on the criminal missions in the game and how to take down the Comm Arrays to avoid the crimestat for them. Most players have no idea about the Vaughn assassination missions or even that you can gain rep for the Ninetails, or Ruto or even the Twitch mission arc and how much fun they all are.

I just ran the 4km the other day. Confirmed. I will say, you don’t need to go too deep into the mines to get “need an out”. I usually start by picking up the first maintenance job that comes and then running towards it. Typically, before even getting to the kiosk, “need an out” pops. Also, once you get good at getting out, you don’t need the supplies. I did the entire thing, including the 4km run, with no med pens or water. Also pro tip: if you die, you have to jump servers to get “need an out” to pop again.

The problem with the current Ruto escape contract, is that the Ursa rovers have stopped spawning, which just wastes hours of player time repeating the escape, over and over. I do really like it as an option though. If you’ve worked out a way to get there on foot without dying, that’s game changing, so thank you for posting this video!

@@DeadlySlobI had been trying to get out all day with no Ursa’s each time. I just did “The Deadly Escape” on foot and it worked beautifully. I used two oxygens and around six medpens in total. Otherwise your advice on not even looking for the rovers and straight into the Cutty Black worked incredibly well. Congrats, amazing job working this out. I had written it off as impossible!

Cool Video! Very well done! I tried the prison mission (all day today) and well, learned the hard way, that the lasers can still kill you even when you are prone, that the ursas do not spawn, that a wrong jump = back to square one... Oh, and I found someone who was willing to bring me to the mission marker, but, I $H#T you not, my game crashed right as I approached the vehicle... But after this video I'm gonna give it another shot! Wish me Luck!

The prison game mechanics is quite well thought out. I think CIG have done well here. It discourages me from criminal activity. It's almost a standalone game just with the prison breakout. Add a Shrieker Yeti as a random event that can chew you up/ chase you and the entire escape would be a heart pounding adrenaline fix.

It's pretty great and one of the best experiences in the game. Unlawful crime gives you player interaction, duels with bounty hunters and adrenaline rushing missions with high stakes. The one thing I'll say is prison is only hard because of bugs and lag, not due to the way CIG set it up.

Interesting. I purchased a basic Auroa pack and have never really played. It strikes me that, as a new player, a quick start method would be to commit a crime. Do what Deadly just did and I have my own lawfully aqcuried Cutty?

did the escape route on PU and PTU atleast 12 times recently on multiple servers, can comfirm ursa's are bugged, they spawn under the ground and dont come up.

half a year later and the Ursas still dont spawn. also i did the mission and there was no marker to run to. basically impossible.

I didn’t know this was considered impossible. A couple weeks ago on 3.18 I got to the cutlass 3 times in a few hours. First time I kept losing health and died, 2nd time my hands bugged and couldn’t use an oxygen. Last time I got away and QT’d to the nearest point and overdosed in the pilots chair. BDL was only at 56% and waited 2 hours till it went down to 10% and I got shot down by npc pirates while phasing in and out of consciousness After that I gave up with the mission and tried once to get to the cutty without the marker and got within 500m and died. Tbh if the servers are running okay you shouldn’t have many issues

Europe servers must be really cooked right now. every prison escape attempt i did, none of my stats changed. i stayed on the surface with no temperature change or hydration loss for 30 minutes or so.

Sadly this is out of my control. Its up to users who receive the advertisements to report them and KZbin to enforce good policy.
