You should try Alchemy Infinity. It uses similar element combination gameplay, but if you come across an unused combination you can submit a new element. New elements are decided by community vote and completely unmoderated so the game gets real stupid real quick and its amazing

My brain must just work different. In my mind, you'd want to combine the elements on the left one at a time with everything on the right. Then, as you unlock new elements, they'd be put in the queue and you'd automatically pair them with all existing elements on the right as you progress.
