I use these balls James. When people ask, I liken them to a firm version of an AVX. On shots around the green I don't get they run out like the AVX and for those approximately 100yds shots it doesn't rip back or roll out, it just stops.

Might have mentioned this on a vlog previously.... I'm an 18 Hcap and play the ProV1X (Yellow), really like it, a good friend (LPGA player) was fit by Titleist for the left dash, she loves it! I've never thought about asking her an opinion on it but now I'm going to, also, this ball sells out at arrival here in Orlando at our local PGASuperStore....at $52.99, the same day it comes in!! At least she's not paying for them!! Thx for sharing with us James, now go rip that 1+ dudes heart out on a course and vlog it for us to enjoy!!

Went for a driver fitting was I was playing tp5 , pro said nope changed me to a Sirixon ad333 , longer more consistent ball flight ect , half the cost , and they are a lot more durable the tp5s don’t last a minute until they start cutting up , don’t didn’t quite like feel of putter with Sirixon so now playing tru- feel which I find is the best aground ball for my game , tp5s and pro v1 are for the lower handicaps who are more consistent and have a very good swing speed , think some people just buy them to say I’m playing a pro v1 😂

I’ve been playing the Left Dash for the past year in windy Florida and found it penetrates the wind better. Yes it is firmer (which I liked) and the spin is very predictable.
@send-golf10 ай бұрын
The prov1x as of 2017 is the spinier (but clickier feeling) of the prov1s For windy conditions you now want the prov1 (but it FEELS soft). I know you are thinking I am crazy, but go to Titleist's comparison page and its clear. Prov1 -> less spin, lower flight. Prov1x High flight, more spin but firmer feel. I am not sure why Titleist did this, but that seems to be the case now. It almost cost me passing my PAT again last year as I bought PROV1X and started with it, in Florida, with 30 mph winds, and you cant switch balls during a round. So I had to hit half swing punches the whole round until I could switch. I passed still, but most people did not. That is when I learned the hard way Titleist swapped the balls. Cheers

I am going to try gaming with the left dash for a box. I like a high compression ball off my driver, but not top flite hard... but around the green I like the skin of the ball to have some bite on the face of my wedges. A person with a Fore Left Driver shot that can surface should not use a lower spinning ball (more spin is more better in reducing curvature) - but if you are a power fader tour level player, then lowering that driver spin by a few hundred rpms is most likely another 5-10 yards carry at tour level swing speeds. You will also gain distance in your mid irons but lose stopping power (these may offset) but at least the wedge spin is similar enough that wedges will hold the green. Seems like an AVX built for Pro Level swing speeds.

I have been told I'm a high spin player (but I really haven't seen that with my Skytrak on a mat and on the course: the high spin numbers were with Trackman on a mat). So I eagerly tried the left dash. Using my Skytrak I see more spin difference than you've shown here with every club. The left dash does carry further (over 5 yards with irons - a lot) probably due to the reduced spin. Occasionally I get a ballooner with the standard that has much more spin (11000 RPM with the standard using a 6 iron for example). Driver distance is nearly the same. I need to go to the course to see how the left dash will work on grass, around the greens and how much roll I get from the driver. The price is the same. Availability although not universal is good in the US. The left dash is not available in yellow right now. If the left dash behaves as poorly around the greens as the original issue AVX, then the advantages with the other clubs will not be enough to switch to left dash.

The Prov1x is the higher spinning of the prov balls. And higher flying... The lower spinning since 2017 is the prov1. So the left dash would be somewhere in the middle of the two? But with a clickier fee?, which makes no sense to me. The left dot should be the prov1's firmer ball? Its listed as lower flying, and the prov1 is lower than the prov1x. So for spin it would be dot -> v1 -> dash -> v1x -> greg maddux curve ball. I am a firm believer that spin, for amateurs, isn't great unless the club head speed is so low you need it for loft. But back spin is side spin in an amateur. So anyone that hits the ball with a lot of club head speed, but has a bad path, face, or descending blow, more spin is hurting their game. I am making a couple videos and I was researching when I dropped in here. Great video. Great channel. Thanks.

Why not compare it with a Titleist Trusoft or other cheaper ball - which tends not to spin as much - also if you had an amateur who when fitted - spins the ball too much - see what happens if they use a cheaper golf ball? rather than changing shafts/weight distribution of the club? PS if you put ear plugs in you may well not be able to 'feel' the difference in the balls.
