I absolutely love the estate where this mansion is located. It has a list of celebrity residents, past and present, and will be inundated with visitors this coming September. Apart from the huge running costs of this mansion, the actual cleaning and maintenance of the property and gardens must have been an enormous task.

Great video! I really like this house, especially all of the bookcases, and not to mention the main stairs. And, of course, you are right in identifying the servants wing. I hope the bank that has possession of this house will soon fix the roof. You seem to hurry through, sometimes. I was just starting to appreciate the bay window and built-in seat in the master bedroom, and we were gone! But you do a fine video! Thank you

What an amazing place. So sad to see it slowly decaying. Makes you wonder why, given the family are all in showbiz how they ended up losing the place. You mentioned it looked like it was re-possessed. Having said that, maybe the place was sold after Bryan passed in 2013, and the new owners ran in to some issues. Must be heart breaking for Emma, as she would of maybe grown up there? Not sure how far back Bryan owned it. The gardens are amazing. You can sort of visualise Bryan sitting in that chair on the balcony over looking those gardens and reading/writing his scripts and books. I bet if those walls could talk it could drop some names of visitors from the world of film and TV that came to dine there, or discuss a film. Amazing.

This place is now trashed. Very sad. On an earlier explore video of this place from a few years ago there was still a chandelier in the stairwell. There was a box on the wall just next to the door to the roof, which had a winding handle to bring the chandelier up so that the bulbs could be changed. I think that was what the glass light shades were for. Bryan and Nanette had this built in the late fifties. They lived here with their two daughters, Sarah and Emma. When Bryan died in 2013, Nanette lived on in the house for a while but, due to her advancing age, was unable, physically and financially, to maintain the house and the grounds. Although her daughters offered to help, she decided eventually to move out.

This amazing UNLISTED Art Deco house is still abandoned as of December 2020, but under greater security. However on an estate where mansions sit empty, waiting to be redeveloped or demolished, it’s future is uncertain. A very sad state of affairs. It’s a shame the Bearded Explorer doesn’t do a little more research on the departed owners.

Hey Bro, I really like your videos you are really good at finding the best abandoned places which are incredibly cool. It would be fantastic if you could give us a little history on the places you visit, I understand it’s important to keep the location a secret as much as possible but it really leaves us with a lot of questions concerning why so many amazing homes are left vacant with belongings still in tacked. Thanks for all you’ve done to bring us these marvelous videos, keep up the great work!

I get the feeling that the Mansion isn't abandoned, it's in to good a condition, why would someone leave their note pad on the kitchen counter? Someone's been their recently. Be careful, someone may be watching the house. Its beautiful, what Country are you in? The books are my favorite, I hope someone is going to buy and restore the place. It’s odd. There seems to be a key in every door with red material or ribbon on it. My grandmother rented a mansion in Oklahoma City and she swore it was haunted and they would lock the doors because they would come open by themselves, if they weren’t kept locked and sometimes they would come open anyway.👻

It is rather nicer on the inside than the outside. I don't think it is entirely abandoned though, it is almost spotlessly clean, and dust-free. And someone must be doing basic upkeep on the garden or it would have been a jungle by now. Possibly it is being got ready for selling. I like your videos but please move the camera a little slower so that it can focus, and we can see better. Also, please let us see what sort of books etc have been left. They can tell alot about the last occupant.
