That, as much as I want the US to get the bicycle infrastructure of the Netherlands, it just won’t happen. Americans love their cars, but I don’t want to have to use a car to get from one place to another every single time I I want to go somewhere. Americans would think commuting by bicycle is weird and unusual, but that’s kind of why I want to move to the Netherlands. Bike infrastructure. It’s safer. Wayyyyy Safer than anything we’ve built in the last 75 years imo. Plus the bad karma in the US. It’s getting nothing done with all the arguing the two parties are having with each other. Everything in this country rots while the government does nothing about it thanks to their constant arguing. I don’t think it will stop.

While the Netherlands is bike-friendly and all, you gotta watch out for those speedy cyclists. Dutch folks love pedaling fast, so it's not always a leisurely ride.

I did some kayaking at that state park. It’s clean and in such a natural state still. I’m sorry everything was closed Nick. I have experienced that when I travel off season as well. I’m glad you found Some places to get a drink and a burger and play some Galaga! Maybe the GoPro next time instead of your phone? It’s safer! I’ve got to check out that aquarium when I go back in the spring!

That's my beach. I use to go everyday. If you there again go during the summer that is when things are probably open. Oh yeah you need to visit Britt Donuts on the boardwalk. They have the best donuts. There is normally a line

I used to use an 'electric assist' CitiBike in NYC, when I could find one, where you gotta pedal SOME, Nick, ha. I also could totally relate to your comment about holding the camera still while you're riding a bike one-handed .... but being on a bike is the best way to film, better than in a car. You're such an influencer.

I wonder how far that bike would go on Pinellas Trail here in Southwest Florida. You’ve been here to St. Petersburg and the beaches. Pinellas Trail. Longer ride between places to stop, more editing, but an adventure, wondering how many miles it will go til empty. Long trail but good watching.

Those union bullets were ones that could be used in rifled barrels - the powder end expanded when fired to fit the rifling in the barrel, and shoot straighter much like modern bullets. That was a huge advancement in the civil war and copied almost immediately by the confederacy. I've read about them but never seen them before - very nice

Great video, nice juxtaposition to many metro areas you review, now that looks like The America I want. I have no idea how bad restaurant closures were there but here in California there were 3 different ones, they’d open when they got subsidized then would be closed at midnight 6 weeks later, because of the Vid of course! Last year everything cost double and many folk had free money--but no one wanted to work, it’s been a rough 3 years for restaurants here… I would say a good 20 percent in San Diego downtown are just open whenever- and the sign at their fronts read: Maybe we are open! Thanks for showing us your home state! Don’t know what you are going to make for dinner with edamame?!?
