I found the last remains of the tragic plane crash of 1999 in Hatfield forest. There is still quite a bit of debris scattered around the forest floor. Its quite haunting to visit.. The four passengers of the Boeing 474-2B5F all lost their lives due to a instrumental malfunction.

The exact spot the plane hit was the south west edge of the lake (pretty much a straight line from TheGateHouse on The Street. They drained the lake in 2000 to search for missing depleted uranium and found a wheel. Nice video, seeing what the site looks like now.

That sony piece you found at 8:23 is part of a cordless headphone system (think of bluetooth but really really old) so anything that seemed releated could've either been some of the cargo or it's whatever is left of the pilot's headsets

The hard drives wpuld not have been going to korea,they would have been flown into stansted,but remained on the plane to be dropped off in europe,on the return journey. The flight was en route to milan from stansted,when the crash happened.

The captain was a bully who belittled & effectively silenced his first officer from the moment of take off & also ignored the flight engineer. Amazing how pilots can be so far banked over within 56 seconds of T/O without realising. Perhaps they should wear an independent body vest with spirit level & prods in their ribs to realign their situational awareness. Enjoyable video thanks.

That was really interesting to watch,i wonder how long you werent allowed onto the site,after the crash?,the mobile phone memory could of been read way back then,strange that all the debris wasnt collected a few days after the crash,guess they dont clean up. Mentour Pilot you tube channel explains in great detail what happened.Cheers for upload.

It went down as there was incorrect readings on the Captains ADI instrument. The Captain was banking left following the departure route but the ADI stayed level, so he banked even more causing nose dive into the ground which they did not know about. The captain thought there was a problem with the ailerons, turns out they were working fine.

Wow... what a truly fascinating video.... am in awe seeing this. That piece of metal found with all the rivet holes in, is a piece of the engine cowling, as we can see the round formation of this. This plane must have been carrying an IT supplies cargo, but is very airy seeing this. I too wonder exactly where the main impact happened, but is most likely the fenced off area you describe. Thanks for sharing & making this most amazing piece of footage.

as long i see there is someone dumping electronic waste in that forest. no way that a crash can remove memory chip from a pcb board. plus all those HDD if were shipped they had to be packaged. all the debries u show werent packaged at all. Due the incident happened 20 years ago, it's more realistic that those electronic parts were picked up, scanvenged and dumped back by some scumbags. Yes, u find some obvious airplane parts ( green paint is the biggest indicator of structural parts, and more than rivets, the wheight of the materials). It should be way more good to see that u pickup those electronic waste and dump at a recycling center instead to toss em on the ground. Btw, a couple of gloves could prevent any issue to hurt yourself... about DNA .... lol. eventually fingerprints.

I checked for myself by looking up the serial number (SV0842D), the hard drive at 5:50 is an 8GB Samsung SpinPoint V9100. That drive entered production in November 1999. The plane crash occurred a month later. If not from the plane crash, has likely been there just as long.
@thefivepoints
@thefivepoints Жыл бұрын
The hard drives are from the plane crash surely, the memory chips and pcb board are obviously cargo not parts from the plane itself.
@Bobman84
@Bobman84 9 ай бұрын
These aren't "dumped". Very clearly part of the wreckage from the plane crash. No-one's going to be dumping 1999 built South Korean hard drives and phones in a forest where a plane crashed in 1999. Crashes can easily remove memory chips from PCB boards and plastic packaging can burn off or wear off over time. 100% part of Korean Air Cargo 8509.

I presume the small piece of video at the beginning is the actual crash caught on film. That's very eerie. That piece at 11:00 could possibly be a bit of the roller track that the cargo went on? I would have thought those Samsung phones were in the cargo with the other Samsung stuff and nothing to do with the crew. This is very interesting. Many thanks for filming.

Flight 8509 crashed in the forest *close to a good friend's house.* It scared the sh!t out of her. *I also lived close to the crash site of BEA flight 548* which came down after takeoff from Heathrow in 1972, narrowly missing the large town of Staines and not far from Windsor Castle. A paramedic first responder friend was so traumatized that he had to quit the job. *I don't live near an airport now.* *But I do live just 8 miles from Hinckley Point Nuclear Power Station,* with a big range of hills in between. *Should I move?*
