It was just not your day. If it helps, XAT VALR will be absolutely the most difficult of the season so you should have an edge there.

Haha same thing happened with me. I started 25 days ago and thought VARC is natural to me. Did 3 coachings mocks. Never got below 45 .Even I did 2023 PYQ and got 51 47 45 in the mocks. In final got 23. More questions were wrong than right. I just cannot fathom how this happened. I wasnt even under pressure during exam. I just dont know what happened. Overall getting 86.

Thank you for the video-it gave me much-needed clarity. On D-Day, things didn’t go as planned. I scored 36 in VARC (a big improvement from my SIMCAT average of 10 or negatives), 20 in LRDI (10 marks lower than expected given the difficulty), and 13 in QA (a loss of at least 20 marks below my simcat average). It hurt, especially knowing how much effort and money went into this, but I’ve realized there’s no point dwelling on the past. I still have two exams ahead to prove this was just a bad day. Hard times build strong people, and this too shall pass. My focus is now on achieving an MBA admit and moving forward.

Sir last 6 months se kaafi mehnat kr raha tha, and ab kaafi fatigue sa lag raha hai. CAT score expectations se kaaafi neeche aaya hai. Ab XAT ke liye prepare krne ka confidence sa nahi hai. Jitna input dala utna output aaya hi nhi :(

I was getting 70+ in CDC and Rodha mocks. On the D-day my centre didn't have my roll number properly displayed and finally 10 mins before the exam began we were finally allotted the room and that got me panicked and ended up scoring 50 in CAT 2024.

Yes, XL HR is definitely better and more well known compared to all the HR programs in India including the IIMs. Just TISS comes close. So would suggest you go all out for XAT and get a good score there. IIMs can be good backups just in case things don’t go well at XL. The assumption here is that you are absolutely clear about going for HR. Crazy CAT score btw. Congrats!

Sir, I’m really confused, I decided on giving cat this year making a switch from medicine, in doing so I was aware I’m giving up any chance of a medical residency this year. I was still positive I’d be getting into an iim this year, but on the cat day, I somehow managed to screw up my varc(which was strongest for me), and ended up scoring lower than any of the mocks I’d given(in varc that is). When I had decided on taking cat, I thought this would be my last attempt and if this didn’t happen I’d go back to medicine, I’m currently in my internship year and I’m really confused if I should re-attempt cat next year or go ahead with medicine. I know you had made the switch from medicine to mba, if you have any helpful insights pls if you could help?

Depends on your profile and expectations. If you have been a 9 pointer throughout and have a good job in hand then no harm in trying again for ABC. But won’t advise you to think about hypothetical situations at the moment. Get your CAT result, get the XL call, convert the XL call then we can discuss what needs to be done. One step at a time.

But Sir, the very basic question is that why CAT is being conducted in three slots still today( your reference of 2011)? While XAT etc are in one slot?? You will say CAT turnout is 3 lacs plus while XAT churns out 1lac plus... But still why can't the CAT people scale up it's logics and infra to hold it in one slot. ??? I’m sure they will understand and accept you. Don’t worry it’s just a test anyway. And even if they don’t understand right now and are sad/disappointed/angry, in the long run you will get a lot of opportunities to make them feel proud of you so it’s okay to not do well at one test.

I was a day scholar during my MBBS and used to stay at Dombivli. It was a good 1.5 hours one way travel which didn’t give me a lot of motivation to stay back in college and participate in a lot of activities. I didn’t want the same to repeat during my MBA. That’s why I wasn’t very keen on JBIMS and had applied to it as a backup. My preferences on the basis of my mock scores was ABCLIK, FMS, XL and as I had calls from XL and FMS in my first attempt, I knew I could get through if I prepared a bit more seriously for my interviews. So decided to let go of JBIMS. No disrespect to JBIMS though, it was and still is one of the most coveted institutes in the country.

cat had 2.9 lakh takers this time and only those who thought they had done good or had prepared properly would have taken the extra steps to see the response sheet from the source code of the website so relax their data is based on the best performers approximately 50k from 3 lakhs is a very small and very skewed data set there is no way 21 marks gets 68 percentile

Sir I scored 94 ( 31/29/34) I Know its a decent score but sir I made 11 marks mistake in QA In 1st Question, I got the answer 2log2 but idk why I marked 3log2. In 2nd Question I got Milk was 270 litre and 30 litre water, Q was about water but I marked 270. In 3rd Question, they asked th3 area of square but in a hurry I marked the area of octagon as answer.
