Ironically this is one of my favourite cleanings so far. This was a very satisfying clean. Of all the rug cleaning channels I follow, yours is the most relaxing. The sounds, the visuals esp when you sweep that dirt away, down to the very attention to detail you put into pouring the liquid from the jug, the circular pattern made by the suds as the last drops trickle out, chef's kiss and an ASMR lovers dream. Thank you for all your hard work. 💕 Ps firs time commenting but probably the 100th time watching.

No failure! That is one set in staining. Though the stubborn part of me would really like to try ozonated water 😁 which attacks stains at the molecular level. I've seen stains in clothing that had been set in for years go "Poof" after one washing. That's what they use in hospitals, hotels, and cruise ship laundries. The ozone breaks the protein molecule so the stains cannot stick to anything. It's also used for people's laundry who cannot tolerate the soaps and chemicals.

Thanks for the info on this. I will look into it. Thankyou very much.

Wow! That rug was so much dirtier than it looked! I don’t think you failed at all. After our house fire, I found some of our worst stains/odors came out only with a 12-24 hour soak of an oxygen booster. But your rug was definitely clean. As always you did a fantastic job. How rugs get so dirty is beyond me. The porch on my 12 year old house isn't dirty. But I thought maybe the stain was from a piece of furniture sitting there for years and maybe a spill under it just ruining the rug, it could have been some sort of dye.

The rug looks great and I get the disappointment with not getting the stain out completely. I work at a printing business and sometimes there are flaws in what is printed. The person buying the items may never notice the flaw but whoever works on it can only see what messed up. I mostly process jobs (collating/folding/packaging/etc.) I never really know when to get rid of something when the machine messes up.

Ooohhhh THAT stain. I know EXACTLY what that stain is. Dirty feet in front of a chair. Yeah, did PCA and home cleaning for years. Somebody came home, sat in their chair, frequently starting with their shoes still on, and sat. Multiply that by about 15-20 years and you get that staining. I've never seen anything take it out. Not even ammonia+peroxide bleaching. If you look closely you can actually see the clean outline of the recliner just above the staining area. So no, not a failure on your part.

Was it from a welder or mechanic? Although you probably can't use it on wool, a capfull of 3% peroxide in a cup of Greased Lightning will get welding fingerprints off a white fridge! And my skunk removal formula is equal parts detergent, baking soda, and peroxide. Worked really good on bedding after the hurricane too! The only other trick that I know of that you didn't use, was the enzyme dishwasher detergent. I had a client that works at a used store, and the clothes that were still stained after washing with detergent and oxyclean, she would soak overnight with dishwashing detergent in addition to the other two. Saved a ton of stained baby clothes.
I give you massive props because some of the rugs you get would make me cry

What I do for stains that won’t come out, I don’t do this much because it also removes a little bit of the fabric dye most of the time. Make a strong solution of oxyclean and detergent, work the solution into the stain thoroughly and leave the stained item to soak in the solution for two days making sure that the item is always completely wet, then agitate and wash as usual, rinse thoroughly making sure to remove all of the oxyclean and detergent. The extra soaking time while thoroughly saturated is what makes the difference, so it’s better to have the entire item in a place where you can submerge it into the cleaner.

It's understandable that it would be disappointing, and also it's not possible to get perfect results with every job. I'm sure there is other work to finish along with it, and you don't control what the stains are made of. That was much more dirt than seemed to come from even the algae-coated rugs I've seen you clean so far. It was amazing how much dirt just kept coming even with the many additional rinses! When I was a teenager, some pets knocked a bag of soil onto a cream-colored rug and got their water bowl mixed up in it somehow. Cleaning it went a lot like that (only far less professional) for us. Eventually (after many, many tries over a very long time) we got it so where it looked cream-colored again, buuuuut if you so much as spilled water on it the secretly remaining dirt underneath showed through until it dried. This secret, water-activated dirt was FOREVER 🤣 Anyway I've been stalling on cleaning my filthy bath matt for a while now and instead of letting the washer and dryer beat it up again, I was inspired by your videos and hand-washed it somewhat similarly to how you might (with way fewer tools) and it's hang-drying now 😁 Thanks for making it feel easier than it used to ♡☆

I think you did great!! Looks like my runner after my welder husband and mechanic son-in-law walked on it with oily dirty shoes. Maybe find out what the stain is in advance and have some powerful decreased on hand. Maybe a high powered steamer would help those types of stains too, you never know. I just know my runner was never the same.

I always try to guess what color the rug is before you start and you stumped me again. Wow impressed with all that effort you tried to get that stain out and you did a great job I'd be way happy with the results if it were my rug. Another really great job!!😊

Not a fail at all. As filthy as that right was, in the beginning, I am truly amazed how great it turned out.

Hi! Lab tech here. I think that this is either a nail polish stain (gets removed with acetone) or a two-part resin glue stain.

The notations on your videos talk about the fiber shampoo you use (PH neutral, wool safe, etc), but this big stubborn stain has me wondering... do you ever use specialty cleaners, for specialty jobs? Like an insecticide on a rug that you know is infested with bugs, or an enzymatic cleaner designed specifically to break down organic pet messes on rugs you know were soiled by dogs? I've just seen a lot of different cleaning products out there in the world and it makes me curious! Edit: just got to the part of the video with the Stain Pro, lol. Guess that answers that part of the question.

Okay. I couldn't find the stain, and from what I saw in the beginning, the end result is a MILLION times better!! I would have bought that in a skinny minute! Job well done!

You absolutely returned that rug in far better condition than it was given to you. That's not a fail. Next time, I recommend cold water and peroxide for red stains, and if it still remains, maybe an enzyme cleaner, like those used for cat urine. Good job and good luck.

The only thing left to upgrade is the pressure washer. 45 degree angle nozzle and upgrade the water pressure.

Hi, this was a good clean. Some people abuse their rugs and should not expect it to be restored to 'new'
