Bro, you didn't fail. You crushed it and you learned where you can improve. That's success, certainly not failure.

Thanks for sharing your experience 👏 cannot wait to see more achievements! I also appreciate the time you took speaking to me when I approached you there. What I tried to say is You and Lucy are the very reason I signed up and pushed through my first Hyrox prep + race this weekend as Doubles. Mycoach programmes took me there and I will defo rely on them again. Legends and daily inspiration 🔥

Made my day this mate!! Thanks for coming to spend time and chatting and so glad the MyCoach program helped with the race, onwards & upwards 🚀

The fact that you finished it in 70 minutes being a heavier athlete is amazing. I felt your pain with the burpees and lunges. Doing singles is such a different event and when fatigued, it becomes such a mental race and trying to remember tactics, when to rest, to breathe properly. You will do so well on your next one now that you completed your first singles.

You were in my wave and caught you up on the rower (I’m the short, bald, old man in bright pink 😂). As someone who has had asthma from birth, I use Rocket Fuel or a Fisherman’s Friend just before a race to keep the airways clear and breathe better. Good luck 👍🏻

How it works the alpha fly for Hyrox? I have doubts to use it in my first competition. Stabilization? Thanks guy!
@mycoachbenji2 ай бұрын
It's essentially a running race with obstacles/ stations between, I prefer to go for a fast racing shoe for that reason matey
@bob_o_baby8262 ай бұрын
You have to be crazy to select Alphas over Vapors for Hyrox. The stack height makes hard cornering much more difficult, and the overall geometry of the shoe confers a disadvantage at pretty much every station, but especially when jogging in transition. Whenever you heel strike or dig your heels in, the shoe works against you. Worth mentioning that Vapors and Alphas are probably the least "grippy" supershoes and you feel it during the sleds.
@mycoachbenji2 ай бұрын
@@bob_o_baby826 It's all about what you feel is best for you dude... The sleds are 1/16th of the race, dont base your whole race around it, at the end of the day it's a running event with obstacles to overcome, pick the best running shoe!!

Not sure how completing your first Hyrox in 70 minutes is failing. Also, unless I read your information wrong, how were you able to have your last run be your fastest, that's definitely backwards haha, I wish I could have done that. Like your training partners were saying, it was your first one at that time and zero experience.
