i loved these things. This is actually how I got into Initial D. I remember the TV ad, and I bought the first 3 volumes at Radioshack. I also remember the dealer guy trying to sell me XMODS which I never got. I do wish I got into XMODS.

Zip Zap were great for its time, but Turbo Racing is faster and batteries last longer. I look at it like this: 30 years ago, cars going 0-60 mph in 8 seconds were considered pretty fast. Now soccer mom SUV can do that. But you still appreciate the old cars. I feel like that about Zip Zap RC cars, thev are old and slow but still fun to drive. I love all of the mods. But it wont beat a Turbo Racing (and you can get upgrades, shipped from China). Both are fun, and people like me spending money on both is a huge rabbit hole.
