My horse does these spooks like this every single day at least once. 😐 let md tell you it never gets easier to sit through. Because you become so shocked every time they spook like this, thinking something is coming at you, when in reality its just that there are lines in the arena or something. 🤣🤣🤣

I admire how quiet but guiding you are with your horses, your humble nature, and your sense of humor about this crazy sport we love! You are an amazing rider and horsewoman, it's so fun to watch you! My mare take off with me today because she kicked a rock against something in the arena - they truly just must concoct scary stories in their head sometimes! I love watching you ride. I learn so much even though I'm not anywhere near your level. I went for my very first show (an in-house at the stable where I take lessons) this past September. I'm 54 (still feels young to me) and had taken lessons as a teenager but never showed. Five minutes into the warm-up for hunter, my horse bucked me off. While I was standing there a few minutes later (my coach had taken the horse to settle him), I got very bad muscles spasms under my ribs so that the was the end of my first show. My second show in October was way better. Two red ribbons in a couple minor categories. One of the young girls at the barn told me that she was bucked off, head first into a flower planter on her first show. Endlessly entertaining these horses!!

You really have the most amazing personality and mindset. When I fall off I usually get quite embarrassed where I don't want anyone talking to me afterwards because I feel like everyone is judging or laughing at me. You, on the other hand, literally just laugh it off and go on to ride two super rounds afterwards. That is so awesome. I love learning from you, not only when it comes to horses, but also about how you handle any situation. You have such a positive outlook on things, never letting small things like falling off get under your skin. Thanks Holly, for being you :)

Been there. My new horse (the grey mare that is bomb proof to everything else except crowds and roans and horses loping behind her) dumped me real good in a warm up arena that was packed from use and basically a rock pit. Lovely feeling. She’s not a real fan of crowds. Then the next day, a roan loped way to the side of her and she noped the heck away and I got a rope burn. But now I can finally focus on her and her training.

Khal was so spooky in the 1m, it was one of the few times id say in my opinion it wasn't rider error(when you fell off) even though im no expert, haha! It seemed like he was just getting back into the rhythm of things though. The actual round, despite the poles down, looked like it was in a solid rhythm tough which was really nice. The second round with him, the 1.10m looked amazing! You guys seemed as if you were riding as one and it was awesome, one of those rides where it looks like the rider is doing nothing because they are doing a lot right, making it seem so effortless. That one fence, think it might've been fence 12 where you pushed him to it looked so beautiful "seeing stride" wise. (BTW I know I am no expert, I jump like 70cm but I felt like commenting what I saw lol) You and Welbeck together looked so classic and just right and I loved watching you two back in the swing of things! The progress you've made with Khal is so pleasing to watch and your videos really do help me so much with my personal riding so thank you and good job!

It annoyed me too. Let them pay attention to their ride instead interrupting their focus and possibly giving the rider a jump scare.

So annoying!! I think it put Khal off and that's why he knocked a pole. I bet it was because Holly was eliminated, so they didn't care.

@jasminemurfin5385 жыл бұрын
@@horseriderpassion4582... Well yeah, it throws both of them, they lose their focus and are more likely to miss a stride or knock a pole. Go watch the video, you can see khal react to it. As a previous comment or pointed out, she was eliminated so they likely didn't care. I would be super pissed if something as distracting as that went on during my round, people should be more respectful.

What a great video of a great day, Holly. Thank you for sharing. I agree with someone else on here that its nice to see your dad out and about with you too and it would be nice to see more of him when appropriate. I love how kooky all your animals are -- those chickens are crazy. And Wellbeck's head show at the end was priceless. I love seeing Khal. When you put his feed in the trough, he was pawing, like he was trying to knock it over, just as you said he would. What a character. And he is a beautiful horse, and obviously so sweet too. I had one weird question. What's with that "Trojan" horse thingy up on the hill at the show. I guess its a sculpture of a horse, but it looks like it isn't finished, like it's a frame for a topiary or something. Does anyone have any further information about it?
