“I felt like I had help”! The BIG Wreck at the Clash on the Coast
It’s night three at clash on the coast and this time we are at Southern and Raceway in Milton, Florida. After showing some promising speed in practice we felt confident that we had a car capable of making it into the show! You know what they say though, racing is a humbling sport! I a just an old boat captain but that dude drove under Chase lead car and Chase had started there entrance into the turn dude was still straight and on the gas. Just my two cent. God bless keep moving on!!!

I hate that for y’all!! Had a good run going!! I’d be interested in hearing Chase’s perspective on racing a USMTS/UMP mod versus racing an IMCA car. The differences in power and how it affects him as a driver. Good work y’all!! I appreciate the encouragement y’all give everyone and keep on doing what you do!

Looks to me he drove into you at the end of the straight then tried to turn under you after he already had the rear lifted. To me the guy tried to stay in it longer than where you normally lift to try and drive under and push you out of the way but we see the outcome.

The blue 11 car is Donnie Barnhart a Latemodel driver for Little Rock area. Yall had some tough luck. The 27 car looked like he was sliding sideways trying not to hit him but he was going in too hot.

From my point of view Chase got him on the restart and he drove into 1 going ta teach Chase a lesson I don't think he meant to spin him, but when you're hot ya usually go over yer head. Chavus I saw a post tonight on New Hearld News that Lincoln Speedway has a big Late Model and mod show on May 9th Spoon River Speedway May 8th then Farmer City the 10th and Fairbury the 11th the castrol series 20,000 ta win late and 2 thousand for mods. The 27 was on binders trying to get out of driving in to deep. It appeared he got into Chase, but quickly backed out. Tough break on your end with trailing car getting into it.

Just racing yes but in my opinion it was an aggressive move cause he wanted that spot back! Although way to aggressive and took Chase all the way around and caused himself and 3 other's to be out and cost a bunch of $$$ to everyone!!.. Every racer knows you can't win in the first few laps! He should've known better and i can't stand to see anyone get dumped and cause a big reck like that..!! I pray it all turns around for you Chase and team!!..

Well I see different I seen the 27 nose all up in the back of the number 2 when they drop in chase started around and the 27 he just keep on the gas and drove him around and I even back it up a couple times and watched it again but it may have not been on purpose could be just hard racing I no stuff like that happens but when u feel ur nose rub another car u might want back out a little not mash it on down put this is my opinion thank you

Only Tommy can really tell what happened, he’s always raced clean in street stocks and just transitioned over to modified for clash on the coast. It’s part of racing but I’m sure it wasn’t intentional by any means.
