I love this! It’s definitely always been a kind of mantra for me and I always say it to friends and family when they say “I should be thankful because people have it much worse than I do” I’m not great at taking my own advice though. My therapist has said it’s because I’d rather help everyone else and see if they’re okay, before helping myself…i’m trying to be kinder to myself though

When we make chicken salad we drain canned chicken, add miracle whip, and drain canned mandarin oranges, then stir it all together, kind of massing the oranges and shredding the chicken. After that we add sliced grapes and mix them in, honestly it so good! One of our favorite summer recipes!!❤️

Compassion based therapy was so eye opening for me. It's so hard to be gentle with myself when I'm feeling particularly sad or down, but when I am nicer to myself, I find that my sadness doesn't last as long as it would if I was hard on myself. Feeling my twins start to kick and move was so amazing. I loved feeling them kick. Until the 3rd trimester when they started to run out of room and I swear they used to beat the crap out of eachother in there 🤣🤣 the nurses told me they were some of the most active babies they’ve ever seen, they’re nearly 2 now and they have SO much energy ALL THE TIME. I wouldn’t change it for the world though. I loved them being so active because it was sooo reassuring to me ❤️

Once they go to an ultrasound that the babies are just showin off their parts, then we will know. If they don't then I'd say probably a couple more weeks. With *my* twins, one was head down in my pelvis, and his twin brother transverse on top of him for months. It DID restrict his space to roll & kick, so he felt like barely the lightest of flutters at the top of my legs (not even really in my “belly”). I carried to 38.5 weeks (full term for twins). Baby A was long and scrawny at 4.75lbs while Baby B was slightly more proportional at 6.75lbs. Both born completely healthy. 11.5 pounds of baby plus TWO giant placentas. I’m a giant compared to Colleen, btw. If by some chance one (or both) of her twins gets quiet, she will likely jump to the worst-case scenario. It’s her nature. She needn’t stress herself out if her huge belly gets calm.

i relate to what collen said about beating herself up when she feels emotion. i do that but when i feel anything i get that way. if im happy, my mind will give reasons not to be, when im sad or depressed, my mind will trick me to do things or tell me i shouldn't feel that way. i dont go to therapy for many reasons but ik i need help. knowing im not alone and that others do go through similar situations i dont got completely off the edge lmao
